December 3, 20241 yr The Paris Beer Park was a good spot to watch the game. I got real fucking drunk.
December 3, 20241 yr What's the best site to compare Vegas hotel rates? I usually just use hotels.com, but Vegas is sort of its own animal.

I think you may be able to save a buck or two on a particular hotel on a particular site but booking.com seems to give me the most places and consistently best prices. Then I always check the hotel site directly just to make sure they aren't offering anything better.
December 10, 20241 yr Stayed at the Venetian for the F1 Las Vegas Grand Prix. All the pedestrian bridges over the strip were covered preventing you from watching the race from that vantage point. Also, that long walk from the Palazzo to the Sphere had F1 race posters covering the glass the whole damn way. Other than having a hotel room overlooking the strip, there was no way to watch the race for free…aside from watching it streaming. We ventured north from the Venetian and the next stop was the Wynn/Encore. Much less foot traffic and a much less noisy casino than the V/P. So, we continued the trek north to Resorts World. Huge, beautiful casino, but you could fire a cannon in there and not hit anyone. And we continued our trek north to Circus Circus and then to the Fountainebleau. Another large, beautiful casino and, once again, there were very few bodies gambling. It’s a long way from the Fountainebleau to civilization, so, if you offer decent action, you should be able to get a freebie at either Resorts World or the Fountainebleau. Both have to be hemorrhaging cash based on the few people gambling.

They tightened the viewing restrictions from last year and I'm sure next year will be even more. I know some YouTube streamers that had their feed cut because there were glimpses of cars during the race. They were concentrating on the crowd, but it was enough for a copyright strike.

Eating at Mother Wolf tonight with free dining credit, have heard good things. Great view of Strip and Sphere and Wynn Golf. Also fun hitting a one outer for $750.

December 13, 20241 yr Is the casino dead? It’s not packed and bustling but not stone dead esp for midweek. [emoji2373]
December 13, 20241 yr Mother Wolf was fun and really excellent. Had crispy short rib meatballs, fettuccine with butter and prosciutto, and ribeye cap with fried potato cakes. Then a chocolate hazelnut tart with red wine cherries and vanilla gelato. Went hard.
December 13, 20241 yr FWIW(not much). Obviously online speculation about Fountainbleau's financial state is pretty rampant. I was in Vegas in Sept and the second hand speculation going around was financial collapse is eminent and its losing up to 10's of millions per week. Some of that chatter was from the stereotypical friends of the guy who know the guy. Obviously here we are 3 or so months later so take it for what it's worth.

Would really be a shame IMO. Would be interesting to see how it would be if FB and RW were located where, say, Harrahs and Flamingo are.

Based on what I saw in mid-November, both FB and RW would both be killing it at those locations. Both properties are stunning…certainly, in comparison to Harrah’s and the Flamingo. But, the foot traffic on the strip comes to an abrupt halt north of the Wynn/Encore. Humanity ceases to exist and it really is that dramatic. My brother and I needed to get our steps in and wanted to see both the FB and RW which is why we kept walking north by ourselves. It’s a way decent stretch of the legs from the Wynn/Encore to RW and its dark side of the moon territory to hoof it all the way to the FB. We did this in mid-November. No way in hell you do that walk between April and October. I think both resorts want the Wynn/Venetian/Bellagio upscale crowd, but both the RW and FB have low gambling energy and feel empty. Perhaps, both properties are simply too big.

If doing it late I would def move to the mall/RW side and then back across by Circus Circus to FB. Walking alone past the old Riviera empty pit past bus stations isn’t great late.

Stayed at the signature for 50 bucks. Wanted to walk up to RW and FB. By the time I got over to the strip and saw all the shit still there from the race then looked at my phone to see how far the fuck they were away just said fuck it and went over to aria.

Those already bleed folks dry, so why not offer a little entertainment?

This sounds like something that someone who got roofied by a midget hooker and then face-fucked by a clown would say.
