December 17Dec 17 To be clear. We have "completely surrounded" a nation that.....occupies the northern flank of a large continent. They have apparently recently taken some "land" from us. I admit that my knowledge of geography isn't flawless, but I can't find any map showing any "disputed territory" or "occupied by Venezuela, claimed by US" notations on it. Perhaps someone has better maps than I've seen. Maybe drawn with a sharpie? I'm trying to understand what "oil" they took from us that belonged to us? Are we talking about the nationalization in...1976? I mean, fuck, Mexico nationalized its oil in 1938. Guess we need to set aside some of our armada to handle that shit as well. And what "assets" of the United States of America has Venezuela taken? Did they snag some Trumpcoin or something? And most importantly, over the past 11 months....what has changed to provoke this? I mean, we know, of course. Epstein files and failing/flailing Trump admin has changed. But this is just fucking amazing. Just utterly made up fantastical, physically impossible (stole our land!) bullshit used to justify a fucking WAR. If you support this shit, you are a genuine piece of shit.
December 17Dec 17 Listen, man, my genuine hatred for [hang on a minute...checking notes...] Venezuela [wow, really?] goes back decades. They are our greatest adversary in Central America. [...whispering...] SOUTH America. Every time I hear someone speak in Venezuelan, my blood boils. [Oh. They speak Spanish? Since when? And nobody told me? Well, shit, it's too late now, just go with it.] Yes, they deserve to die, and I hope they burn in hell. Edited December 17Dec 17 by aggie08

Maybe, we could get a Venezuelan gal to stick said sharpie up her but before drawing said map. The subsequent OF video could revitalize their economy.

Miller is justifying it after Trump's claims: "American sweat, ingenuity and toil created the oil industry in Venezuela. Its tyrannical expropriation was the largest recorded theft of American wealth and property. These pillaged assets were then used to fund terrorism and flood our streets with killers, mercenaries and drugs."
December 18Dec 18 The question is when are we going to invade? The naval blockade is in place. Trump verbally ordered their air space shut down last week or two weeks ago.
December 18Dec 18 National address tonight will likely include some form of a "declaration of war". Too bad congress has long abdicated all responsibility for such things to teh executive branch.

December 19Dec 19 Trump said he is not required to seek Congress’s approval to carry out strikes against ground targets in Venezuela. Reporter: Will you seek any authorization from Congress to conduct ground attacks against cartels in Venezuela? Trump: I’m not obligated to inform them, but I wouldn’t mind at all. I just hope they don’t leak the information. ------------------------ Edit: This is from the same comments as the post above. Edited December 19Dec 19 by atomheartbevo
Saturday at 01:56 AM5 days https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world/update-us-military-gains-access-to-south-america-air-base/ar-AA1SFFT3 Quote U.S. Air Force personnel have joined forces with their Ecuadorian counterparts at a base in Manta in Ecuador for a temporary anti-narcotics operation. “This short-term joint effort is carried out as part of our long-term bilateral security strategy, in line with the currently valid agreements in accordance with Ecuadorian law,” the U.S. Embassy stated on X this week. Turns out we were trying to get multiple bases in Ecuador last month Quote Ecuadorian voters recently rejected a referendum to allow permanent foreign military bases, reaffirming the ban on foreign bases like the one the U.S. previously operated in Manta. The vote came after Ecuador’s president sought U.S. military assistance and supported the opening of U.S. military bases in the ports of Manta and Salinas following Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem’s visit to the Manta military base in November. At least the Green Berets aren't launching missiles at dudes floating on wreckage in the water. Quote The move comes as Ecuador faces an unprecedented surge in drug-related violence, with homicide rates rising sharply over the past three years and criminal groups expanding their control over coastal trafficking routes. In an operation earlier this month, U.S. special forces under Southern Command assisted Ecuador’s 4th Army Division in a counter‑narcotics action in Esmeraldas on December 3, seizing 1.4 tons of cocaine with a value of about $98 million.

We ran ops out of Manta for a long time. It was past of the FOL Program South. They are not Green Berets, that is their head gear. They are the US Army Special Forces. Come on man. Lets keep our shit straight.

I know, I have friends in the Special Forces, and we have a neighbor who is in the National Guard Special Forces unit (although I think technically he is based out of San Antonio, but he works at Mabry). But a lot of people confuse special operations as a whole with Special Forces (thanks John Wayne and Barry Saddler).

Chevron still exporting crude to Corpus, for example. That by itself makes it not a blockade.
