Yes, I’m aware of that. All players have a redshirt option. That’s the 5th year to play 4, correct? Or did something change in the time I quit caring?

5 to play 4 (automatic redshirt)

+ 1 for medical redshirt (if approved)

+ 1  for Covid year

= 7 years

This is what Cam is doing.

He also sat out his first year at Utah

He's been through a lot! He transferred after being redshirted, but people forget that he came here expecting to back up the great Duke Carlisle.

Rising also got a two year military exemption early in his career because he was fighting in WWII.

He started elementary with ArmyBrat.

Wrong! He’s ONLY 137 years old.
Rising was a sophomore the last time atm won a NC.

Beat by 8.5 hours aggy.

Normal guys get 5 to play 4. He has +1 from Covid and +1 from medical redshirt.

Seventh and final year.

why do i get the feeling Dr. Rising's  last game under center will be some sort of make-a-wish foundation deal.

I guess whatever he's making in NIL is better than selling insurance or whatever.

I legit feel bad for the guy. Yeah he left Texas in a huff, but that was already more than half a decade ago and we're in a much better spot now without him. So removed from the anger of him leaving, all I feel left is sorry for the guy that his career will never be what he wanted due to injuries. If he straight up wasn't good enough to play that would probably be much easier to swallow than your body failing you, especially so young. What a shame, hope for the best for him.

Yes. Yes you should.

I legit am sick of hearing his name. Overexposure over a 10 year period in college has major drawbacks.

Get a load of this bitch right here, what a loser. Ablooo abloo ablooooooo, my pussy hurts because I heard a name, ablooooooooooooo.

Need to change the title to Cam rising transferring to the retirement home

Edited by Codaxx

The most noteworthy thing Cam Rising has done in his career is have his injury updates spammed on Twitter by reporters for the last 3 fucking years. Go away, for fuck's sake.

It's sad that this dude continues to take a spot on a college roster. Get him outta here. He should have been gone 2 years ago.

Cam Rising is medically retiring from football. His 8th year of eligibility was apparently in play but he is two years older than CJ Stroud, who has been to the NFL playoffs twice.

Fare the well, we hardly knew ye

Sources told ESPN's Eli Lederman that Rising has accepted an offensive coordinator role at Newbury Park (California) High School, where he was a three-year starter from 2015-17 and left as a four-star recruit in the 2018 class. He'll coach four-star Michigan QB pledge Brady Smigiel, ranked No. 45 in the 2026 ESPN 300, next fall.
