I can't wait until high school seniors start sitting out part or most of their last year in high school.  You know it's coming.

I plan on having my kids sit out all the way from birth until the NFL.  Save the wear and tear.

You must be mentally weak if you’re giving up that easily. It’s only the 23rd. She still has 2 face-shopping days left. Hang in there, you never know what can happen.

Usually she's  here by now, but I have a feeling I'll have to wait a day after.

FWIW Rising was telling teammates early in the season that he was thinking of transferring. I heard about it at the USC game. So this has absolutely nothing to do with Sams play this year.

I would like to announce I’ve entered my name in the transfer portal. I’m looking at all options. Business decision.

So by business decision does he mean I don’t think I’m good enough to crack the starting team here, but i expect to tear it up in the NFL?

Was he an EE? If not that decision was fast in the time frame of getting there and thinking of leaving.

I hope all these guys going into the transfer portal end up on a strange planet that is ruled by aliens which resemble ancient Egyptian gods and have a cruel dispositions...

Both he and Casey Thompson were EEs.

Austin is far from California. Sometimes it's that simple. We'll see how it plays out.

Anyone have info on what number of reps that Rising and Thompson have been getting during the early weeks of Bowl prep??

Thought this was when back-ups see more action to help with their development??

God damnit.

I really wanted Rising to play for us at some point.  I know Sam is our guy for the next 2 years, but it pains me to see this kid go.  Hes a fucking baller and is going to light it up where ever he ends up.

Fuck.

So your saying there’s a chance!!   Really hope Rising stays, he would most likely get playing time next year.  Keep him and let Shane go if he wants.

Someone said many moons ago that Shane was set to graduate in Dec.  I predicted he would grad transfer if that was the case, but I'm not sure if that happened though.

I mean assuming competition is real, even if Shane stays it doesn’t make him QB2. At least I want to believe that.

Jaffa, Kree!

Graduating in December would mean he graduated in 2 1/2 years. That's highly doubtful. More than likely he's graduating this May or summer with 2 years of eligibility still remaining.

3 years and it’s possible if you have an easy Major.

Not to mention two summers full of classes as well.

Was Shane an early enrollee?

Yes.  I believe he CJ both were.

I may have been wrong on stats as I have PTSD from CS years.

Pump the brakes, chief. Sam is not an NFL QB yet.

Sam’s here for the duration.  He’s living the dream———literally.

Has anybody heard how our two Freshmen QBs felt about last night's game?

I think Rising is gone. Thompson was always part of the QB huddle with Sam and Shane. Don't remember seeing Rising once last night.

He was there.  Just stood there and chatted with other bench warmers.   He didn’t put his sugar bowl shirt on at the end.  Who knows what he does.

He doesn’t want to run that much. He gone.

yeah 164 rushing attempts for Sam this year.  even with a better running game and OL you are still going to have 80-100 rushes from the QB in Hermans O.  I can't see Rising hanging around for that.

Do your own work next time..... It's not hard.

And yes, with Sam probably a no doubt starter for 2 years, he probably wants to go somewhere with a better chance of starting.  This is the new era of college football.  Imagine what happens when they get rid of sitting out a year.

Yeah, not that hard to provide a source when you're starting a new thread either.

Start a thread, do the work.

Yes, you too can play for a program that wins 7-8 games a year featuring the most boring, and unimaginative version of Urban Meyer’s power spread currently in use.

Cam would likely be our #2 QB next year if he stayed, correct?

On talent, he would be. Who knows how things would actually play out.

I would guess Shane probably assuming he stays.

utah has shitty drink laws.

Yeah they do, just got back from Park City last week and the domestic beer was very weak (2.0).  But if you bought at a restaurant and bought Mexican beer, it was more 'normal'.  Strangely though, domestic beer bought at a liquor store was similar to TX, nevertheless, a lot to process.

was at a gentlemens club in SLC and couldn't have more than 2 drinks on the table at once..

WACK! ruined titties for me that evening.

Utah?  Surprising considering their depth chart does not have an open path to starting, either.

I wonder how Herman treats these situations. Putting your name in the portal is one thing but if you’re visiting other schools then I’d say you’re no longer a member of the team.

If Rising leaves, seems like there are better opportunities than Utah.....
