Two LSU football players questioned about fatal shooting

No mention of concern for the guy that was killed?  Keep it classy Tigah.

Two LSU athletes were taken into custody for questioning after a fatal shooting Saturday in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

WBRZ, citing sources, reports the athletes are members of the football team.

The victim, who was not an LSU athlete, was found fatally shot in the backseat of a truck, a police spokesman told the Baton Rouge Advocate.

The athletes called 911 and waited at the scene. They have not been arrested, police told the newspaper.

"Right now, our concern is for the safety and well-being of our student-athletes," LSU athletic director Joe Alleva said in a statement. "They have been involved in a traumatic incident, and we have made our counselors available to assist immediately."

It was an accident. They probably went over a bump or something

I think they should leave the punishment up to a team vote.

Oh so they were taken into custody but not arrested.

Right. That makes sense.

Did a 12 year old write this?

Cops just ran out of handcuffs.

Double tap the head

They were just holding a prayer circle when a stray bullet from an unknown source struck the lad. They called 911 and tried to administer first aid till the first responders arrived. Nothing to se here, move along.

Espn might not have great resources for this, I don't know, but it seems like theres more to this story.

This happened in College Station?

They've been releaeased.  They have a game to play.  Everyone move along and quit distracting them from their game preparation.  -- BR Police

I doubt Orgeron will even talk about this incident, ever, but if he does, I'm sure his comments can be interpreted either as "correlation does not equal causation" or "gimme some bacon, this sandwich tastes like crap."

Why do the fuck people still sell shit on CL? How many times does this shit have to happen?

Cops just ran out of handcuffs.
aggy cops in Red Stick?

Nah.  That's it.  Nothing else to see.  Players did nothing wrong.  Except maybe the walk on.  But not their number 2 rusher.  He didn't do anything wrong

Or, "YAW YAW YAW YAW YAW YAW YAW YAW."

He needs subtitles, that's for sure.

Unless he was the one writing them, there’s no way it would be correct.

One heartbeat

If you really stop and think about it, coach O is the perfect LSU coach. Second best would be the mad hatter. They’ve really had a good run as of late.

3rd best would be the guy that won the national championship for them in 2003?

Shoulda called the Wolf.

You gotta appreciate what an explosive element this Bonnie situation is.

They are LSU football players and they called the Louisiana police after committing murder.   My guess is they thought calling the police was like calling the Wolf to fix the problem.

The two LSU players involved in an attempted armed robbery that left one man dead are available to play in the Fiesta Bowl, coach Ed Orgeron said Thursday.

Sophomore running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire and freshman linebacker Jared Small both made the trip to Arizona just days after their attempt to sell an electronic item to a man turned into an attempted armed robbery Saturday. The man pulled a gun on the players and demanded their items when one of the players pulled out a gun and shot the man, who died at the scene.

I’m totally shocked that LSU is letting them play.

wtf, why would the school stop them from playing

Yeah what exactly did these dudes do wrong?  Not get robbed/killed?

you believe they were just selling an electronic item?

Wow

Wow

Why would they have called the cops if they were trying to sell some shit and it went south?

I mean, they’re LSU football players and are in the state of Louisiana...
