That might be the dumbest take I've ever heard.

He was exactly right. Scoring before the two minute warning was about their only chance. Why not take the FG first so it atleast gives you the opportunity to try and score the second score?

Barry Switzer having a Super Bowl ring is just criminal

Did that Seattle win completely eliminate the Eagles...because it would be so choice if it did (wasn't watching)

You get the onside kick you only need 15s to get into fg range, you need at least 1 min to get a TD

Nope.  Eagles can still get the 6 seed if they win and the Vikings lose next week.

I know right?  Let’s just play it out for fun.

FG is made on 1st down KC is now down 7

Roughly 2:15 left - Onside kick attempt (most likely fails)

1st down play starts around 2:10 timeout called afterward

2nd down play ran and 2 minute warning stops the clock

2:00 - 3rd down play ran

Now if KC stops them (huge fucking question) Seattle punts at around 1:15 and KC has 1:10ish left to try and score a td.

It’s about maximizing your chance to win, they completely put it on successfully executing an onside kick with no safety net.  It was the wrong call and it really isn’t debatable.

Did you hear what they said the recovery rate was on recovering an onside kick this year?

And in the kick it on 1st down scenario, if you get the onside you now have 2:15ish with a timeout and the 2 minute warning to get the TD.

KC had a first down at the Seattle 31 with 2:21. The 1st down pass to the RB who ran to the middle of the field pretty much ended the game for them. The clock ran down to the 2 minute warning. They absolutely had to score 3 or 7 with enough time left that they could use the 2 minute warning as a second timeout. They could have thrown to the end zone on first down and if they missed that they kick the FG on 2nd down. That probably was the thing to do instead of kicking the FG on first down.

Barry has a ring, but it fits Jimmy's finger.

Hill looks like he could hit a bitch right about now

He choked a bitch, like Wayne Brady.

I loved the call and I love Tomlin. I’d happily take him in Dallas.

Have you followed the Steelers at all in the last fifty years?  They don't fire coaches.

Well earned this year.

Tomlin is a pretty shit coach. He's good at the "rah-rah" stuff but literally nothing else. It took him until this year to finally realize that playing strictly zone against Tom Brady is a really bad idea.
