  • I hope that TD was the dagger. I hate Notre Dame and how the media always slobs all over their knobs. Join a conference you sorry ass choir boys.

Notre Dame never belonged in the Playoffs to begin with. They should join the ACC and be required to win their conference like everyone else. They play a weak schedule and don't have to risk their record in a difficult conference championship game. Fuck them and BYU, get in the P5 or get the fuck out.

Winning the conference isn’t a requirement.

Enough of this shit. Notre Dame played 12 P5 teams.....no G5, no division 2 patsies, that's a tough schedule...

seriously and no offense to the academic side of your very elite institution.... but you guys are holding up progress here, it's 2019, we're 1/5th of the way in to the 21st century, and your Independence is an impediment to the entire sport.

That NBC money tho!

And remember--Clemson didn't get any points out of a second-quarter drive in which a receiver dropped a sure touchdown, so this could/should be even worse.

By worse, do you mean better?

They played Ball State and Navy but I agree with your overall point.  Their schedule was plenty tough enough that by going undefeated they earned a spot in the top 4.

Notre Dame isn't bad regardless of the result here.

Clemson is fucking terrifying and clearly has the best defense in the country.

I think they deserve it as much as ou.  Because ou sucks.

playing 8 or 9 P5 games in conference year after year after year is far more difficult than cherry picking one-off 2-for-1s or single home games out of conference with no annual continuity.

which is why as long as domer are allowed to stay independent and there is no penalty to the sec for their scheduling strategy, our best move is to go independent.

And have for some years now, except for Florida State.

ND's dbs have held the whole game

SEC officials. That is how the game is called in the SEC.

I actually think nd played a legit schedule. Mich, Stanford, usc, Pitt, fla st, etc. that’s legit.

There's a case to be made for ND being in the playoff based on them being undefeated and playing a decent schedule but I think there's a pretty decent case for leaving them out also. Most of the big names on their schedule were having down years and they struggled to beat a lot of the mediocre teams. Then of course the no ccg.. ND is playing by their own rules right now just like when they went forever to play bowl games because it was beneath them or some shit like that.

Let’s never go for it on 4th down!  It’s kinda disgraceful to the teams that weren’t handed the golden ticket by virtue of who they are to the playoffs and for them to not even fight or try is a a fucking insult. 3 points? That’s all you can manage? They shouldn’t be punting. The refs should just tell Kelly it’s no longer an option
