April 21, 20196 yr And Kenin seals the deal. Good for her, was worried she was going to hyperventilate though.

Fognini can play at a very high level when he gives a shit, problem is he doesn't do so often. Nadal gave an interview where he talked about how poorly he played. In typical fashion, he avoided giving Fognini credit for the win as much as possible.

I've seen him act like a real dick before (on the court). I've also heard him singled out for criticism about 5-6 years ago when the Italian women were doing well in Slams with a lot less funding from the Italian government.

On clay he has a lot of ability and all the shots. But he doesn't have an even temper and is very inconsistent. A lot of the Italian crowds grew sick of his thin-skinned behaviour towards the media, on-court temper tantrums, and lack of results to make up for it. A few years ago he was tossed from the US Open for calling an umpire a whore. The nickname he has in Italy, 'Fogna', literally means 'sewer'. 😂
April 23, 20196 yr Another early exit for Zverev. He's going to struggle to stay in the top 10 as the year progresses if he keeps this up. Edited April 23, 20196 yr by satyanash
April 24, 20196 yr How about this guy? I always remembered Justin Gimelstob as the guy who leapt for volleys and dropshots, not as a psycho. Gimelstob: total psycho. Who knew?

April 25, 20196 yr Author Well, she must have hurt his hamstring because he's out of Barcelona. And Rafa v. Ferrer for the 32nd time.
April 25, 20196 yr 7 hours ago, perfectchaos007 said: Is this Ferrers 2nd to last tournament? Yep. As of now, Madrid will be his swan song.
April 25, 20196 yr Ferrer's giving it all he's got... but so far it isn't enough. Nadal on the verge of taking the 1st set.
April 26, 20196 yr That shot was disgusting. Safe to say Nadal's out of whatever minor slump he may have been in. Despite having not yet won a title, he's still had a very good start to 2019.
April 27, 20196 yr Thiem takes the first set against Nadal in Barcelona. Upset alert? Also Naomi Osaka's withdrawn from Stuttgart Edited April 27, 20196 yr by satyanash

April 27, 20196 yr Yeah this isn't the first time Nadal has had a lackluster clay season and then won RG
April 27, 20196 yr He might work his way into shape, but he just looks so lumbering and heavy footed out there to me. I don’t think it’s his skill set that’s diminished...his mobility is just lackluster to me. He could usually overcome superior shotmakers with insane defense and win wars of attrition but not sure he has the legs now.
April 28, 20196 yr Thiem cruises to a win in Barcelona. It's his biggest clay tournament victory since the Rio Open two years ago. Also, looks like Murray will make his return at Wimbledon this year!
April 28, 20196 yr Author 2nd set breaker between Petra/Kontaveit on TC. Petra won the 1st, trying to become the first repeat champ in ‘19.

April 29, 20196 yr Author I liked her a lot, but she doesn’t have the drive. That sucks, but on to the next one.
April 30, 20196 yr Interesting points from this Tennis Channel article. With Federer returning to clay after three years, Nadal starting to look slightly human, and Djokovic back at No. 1 but not at his peak yet, this year's French Open could have a huge impact on the GOAT race between the three.
