And the first word is a grammatical booboo. Good try, good effort.

Should be a fun game - Cincy is legit this year.

Yeah, Cincy's only losses were to UCF and Temple.  Oddly, that was only good enough for 3rd in the AAC East.

They should have beaten Temple... let the game slip from their grasp.

UCF obviously there wasn't much else they could have done, they were simply outclassed.

It is kind of odd to see Northrop Grumman sponsoring a bowl. Not sure what they gain in terms of relevant exposure.

So, is this such a jank bowl game that there's no first down line graphic?

Also appear to be scraping the bottom of the announcer barrel as well.

It's there, but it's very faded and vanishes as soon as the camera starts moving to follow the ballcarrier after the snap. Weird.

Gotta post up this classic.

It's there.  It's Northrop Grumman's new stealth first down line offering.   Let's see if it catches on.

Cincy QB hurt on a low hit from Virginia Tech.

Shit. Virginia Tech DE grabbed his ankle and twisted as he went down.

Bro do you even Military-Industrial Complex?

Both these QBs aren't afraid to be power runners. I like it.

Fumble in the endzone, Cincy's got it! Unbelievable.

Cascader never got the credit he deserved for his art.

I'm thinking we might be paying too much for our stealth aircraft if they think sponsoring a bowl is a good idea.

I like that this relatively small stadium is pretty full, even with the lousy weather.

Is the Cincinnati coach from the Mack Brown coaching tree?

Could't help but notice the lack of dental hygiene.   #butterteeth.

Healthy teeth actually do tend to have a yellow tinge in humans. You need whitening agents to get your teeth perfectly white.

I  thought I saw these two teams play in a bowl recently.  Turns out they played in the same bowl in 2014 and the Orange bowl in 2008.  They also played each other in the 1947 Sun Bowl.

I did a Google map search - the two campuses are about five hours from each other.  You'd almost think they're in the same conference.

Man that Cincy QB injury looks like it might fuck my already remote bowl pickem chances

It's amazing how small states are that aren't Texas

They were in the Metro Conference together before VT made the Big East football conference.  The Metro did not have football, though.

Sun Bowl is super-old, it never attained the prestige of the other NY6 bowls but it's up there with them in terms of age/tradition.

Cincinnati's Harold Johnson scores in the third quarter as the Bearcats defeated Virginia Tech 18-6 in a sunless Sun Bowl before a shivering crowd of 10,000 on Jan. 2, 1947.

Hahaha. Icing strategy is successful, VT misses the FG.

Works better if the kicker has to keep standing around in the rain without a coat.

Glad they didn't call targeting, the Cincy guy totally alligator armed it, making him look defenseless.

Crown of the helmet hit his facemask, didn't it? Should have been an ejection regardless.

It was more like he hit the receiver in the shoulder pads with his facemask, so no call.

Hah. I was wondering where those faded circles came from.

LOL at the barbershop quartet ref.

Nice KO return.  All in all a pretty entertaining game.  12 minutes left, Cincy 28-24.
