In-laws just got back from Ireland. Told me they tried to like Guinness, but it was just too heavy. I briefly argued, then decided it was pointless.

So you’re saying you like BBC? NTTIAWWT

If you are in the DFW area get your hands on a Turning Point Coconut Migration.  They are absolutely killing it right now.

Real Ale XXIII Anniversary Hazy IPA and Pinthouse Training Bines, imo.

Unnamed house beer at distillery on the glass. Brewed here as well. Kind of Wit-ish. Really good.

Yeah but did you solve without using an applet on the net?

Bumped into Michael Peticolas at my kids’ school today and this decision likely means they start bottling/canning now.

So does this one have to wait until September like a lot of state laws, or could it happen sooner?

Oh good.  Expanded options for the majority of football season.

Picked up a six-pack of Ballast Point Lager yesterday. I know Ballast Point makes a ton of beers, but almost all of them have fishing/maritime names, like Sculpin IPA, Manta Ray Double IPA, Victory At Sea Coffee Porter, Fathom IPA, Bonito Blonde... with accompanying artwork.

This stuff just says "Ballast Point Lager." With the logo. White can. Nothing else. Plain Jane.

It's... Okay.

Speaking of sorta-lagers, Zilker's Killer Lite Kolsch is SHITFUCKINGLY AWESOME. It'll do until Carl is one day canned.

Also looking forward on stopping by another brewery moving into the BW area

Settled on some week old Yellow Rose. Might open the bomber of Saule my wife bought me for our anniversary a few years back, but not sure I want to pass out by 9PM.

Bale Breaker in Yakima imo

Forager in Rochester, MN. IPAs in back, tart saison up front. All excellent. These guys can make a legit claim to best brewery in Minnesota, and Top 10 in Midwest.

I don’t know MN beer well enough to comment how they compare to others, but I agree that they make fenomile beer.

Have you been to Fair State in Minneapolis?

Yes. I love them as well. Their canned line up is great too.

Fair State, Forager, and Barrel Theory in St Paul are my Top 3 in MN

You have a Rochester connection? Just curious as to how you got ahold of Forager.
That's just ignant.

It can’t be any worse than regular Wicked Juicy, can it?

I had the Skullberry at their anniversary party and thought it was pretty tasty.

The only milkshake IPA I’ve tried was Moonraker’s Blueberry Mosaic. It was great.

What’s that? You say you like Toppling Goliath’s Pseudo Sue? Well then you need to get yourself some King Sue! Double IP version. Absolutely delicious. Apparently available in Oklahoma City if you’re passing through.

If they have it, pick up some Sosus. It’s King Sue with Mosaic instead of Citra. My favorite TG DIPA.

I know it’s been like a day but there was no Spindletap at the Southlake Central Market.

I asked the guy about it and he was not aware (though he isn’t the buyer, to be fair), but he was excited to hear it.
