Got to try Lagunitas HOP Hoppy Refresher which is a zero alcohol/zero calorie hoppy...session IPA...I don’t know what to call it but I thought was pretty tasty. Would be really good when the game goes into extra innings and you want one more but don’t want to drink another “beer”.

Ok, short trek from my house in northwest San Antonio so I may buy two of them to make my trip worthwhile

What’s that you say? You say you like the deliciousness that is regular Pseudo Sue? Then I highly recommend you find yourself some Galaxy Dry Hop Pseudo Sue. Whenever I have a Galaxy hop beer I wonder why there are not more Galaxy hip beers available.

Word to big bird is that Drie is coming to Texas very soon and there’s gonna be shitloads of it

It hit the PNW so hard that it has become a shelfturd. Still saw Hommage a couple of weeks ago and plenty of Oude and A&G yesterday after getting here several months ago.

Someone needs to send me samples of some of these beers.

I promise to reciprocate.

You want us to mail you some zima gold?

I'm too young to have experienced Zima at its peak, would y'all compare it to the current white claw situation?

I remember dropping shots of grenadine into zima to improve the taste. At least White Claw gives you flavor options. But yeah pretty much the same but White Claw and the other guys aren’t going away. Also the margins for those are insanely higher than beer.

So we are about a month away from pumpkin beers?

Thursday July 18th.

I had to look through my text messages. That’s the day I noticed Oktoberfest beers and texted some friends. Absolutely rediculous. I showed them by only buying a six pack.

I'll see your Oktoberfest and raise you a Christmas beer that was on the shelf at HEB.

Oktoberfest in July makes me stabby.

But you can bet your sweet ass I’m picking up a 6er this week because I’m a weak willed hypocrite

If it’s St. Bernardus Xmas then get it.

It wasn’t. Unfortunately.

But what was on the shelf at Target???

My friend Chip at Live Oak tells me he can't sell Oaktoberfest beyond the month of October, sales completely dry up.  So I suppose that's one reason why breweries are bringing it out earlier and earlier, trying to maximize the life of a popular seasonal.

Still, July 18th is way early.  It's just now in the heart of pilsner season.

This stuff is the balls

It sure is. Also, though many bottles/cans of hoppy beers will tell you to drink them fresh, I found that is especially true with Zombie Dust. The difference in taste between it fresh/coupe of weeks old to one that is just a month or so old is shocking. The maltiness becomes very noticeable as it ages. Enjoy

So wait at least a year-- got it. :)

I would much rather drink a Marzen after October than before September, personally.

Agree 100%.  Apparently the general market does not...

Also might be why we see more labeling these days as Marzen or just a general "Festbier" rather than specific Oktoberfest branding.

This reminds me that I have a 120 that might be drinkable by now.
