Andy Thomas sounds like a fucking nerd.

November 13, 20196 yr Meh. Widmer Hefe fucking sucks compared to Live Oak. True. Though that is also true if you switch out “Widmer Hefe” with other hefes as well...
November 13, 20196 yr I'd try it. But if it's aged with bacon fat, is it still vegetarian? Or is it vegetarian but not vegan? I guess I don't understand how the distinction would work here.
November 13, 20196 yr True. Though that is also true if you switch out “Widmer Hefe” with other hefes as well...And Widmer Hefe is on tap fucking everywhere up here. Live Oak ruins you on Hefe’s, there is really nothing remotely close that isn’t German.

November 14, 20196 yr WTF does this mean Quote Seems Indy has finally got their chorus all hummin' again after a cacophony of harpsichords and tongue drums and contrabass flutes trying to create a cohesive melody like a brewery version of the Polyphonic Spree

November 14, 20196 yr mostly keeping consistent, which is like better than like 85% of breweries. Also, 512 IPA is an old school IPA template, which is really good for them and also pecan porter is a city go-to staple. They also announced that they'll be canning it soon, so that accounts for some hype. I'll be super pumped about that. That's a goddam solid everyday beer.
November 14, 20196 yr Author Be cool if they opened a tap room, but I guess Austinites don't like those. I mean I can go to their brewery on Saturdays form noon to 4.
November 14, 20196 yr Finally had a few enjoyable beers from ABW last week. Their core beers still suck ass. Nothing from ABW is better than the top 20 from Pinthouse.
November 15, 20196 yr B-52 Brewing’s Szechuan Sauce. Actually pretty tasty for how ridiculous/disgusting it looks. I did chuckle when I poured it as I immediately thought of that Budweiser Pumpkin Peach Alecommercial.

November 15, 20196 yr Sorry if already discussed, but I freaking love Manhattan Project's two IPAs, especially the Half-life. I haven't had any of their other offerings yet. Edited November 15, 20196 yr by CBT

November 15, 20196 yr firmly in this camp, abw is highly overrated. what beers did you have that were good? Wet hopped IPA, Mexican lager, and cream ale. Don’t remember any names. All three were solid.

November 16, 20196 yr At $26 a bomber it languished on shelves. Yeah I know, but it still sold eventually. KBS is still on shelves though.I picked up a $22 four pack so I guess the threat of no more worked on me. It's a great beer, but not worth the price.
