No Bourbon County pics? Does anyone still buy it?

It’s still excellent imo.  I was able to get a Café de Olla and a Mon chèri.

Dropped by Great Heights hoping some Bourbon Legend was left, but no dice. Picked up some of the second anniversary BBA stout and a four pack of Fruity Pellets.

Brewtorium, imo.

Your kid downed her beer way faster than you.

My Dad never drinks these beers I get him so I have to crack them open when I visit.f5bef1173fd45280199a59c88819e411.jpg

Wife got me a beer advent calendar. Day one, imo.

Constellation is selling Ballast Point to some private "brewer" in Chicago.  Guess they figured out that BP beer was shit and never worth the 1 billion they paid for it.

I read, or someone posted here, a while back that Ballast Point was really struggling. Just sits on shelves. I haven't bought any in forever. I know it's super overpriced.

That sucking sound is all the PE money leaving craft brewing.  Not that is a bad thing.

That is some crazy shit.  Hard to believe another major wouldn’t want the BP brand for pennies on the dollar,

Central Machine Works should buy it so they would have some beer.

Yeah, then they'd be able to serve 37 varieties of the same IPA.  Clearly that's what the public wants, since sales are booming...

Bottle Logic imo

At Provisions Deli in Orange, CA which in of itself is an incredible bottle shop and deli. But they have cans of Blue Owl which I didn’t expect to see.

Bourbon County is widely available now. I've had some in the past, but don't really care anymore. The best barrel aged stouts, imo, are made a mile from my house at American Solera. Even Marshall Brewing next door makes damn good barrel aged stouts, at least on par with inbev nonsense. I don't care to support inbev, especially now that the alternatives have caught up and in some cases are much better.

I will say I am more likely to buy Bourbon County than anything from Founders now.

why?  backwoods bastard is still a go-to for me.

Just a bunch of racist bastards.

Just noticed at HEB yesterday that both HUB and Oddside are distro'ing to Texas now.

Some organic beer

Post yard work cheers to all y’all fellow Surly beer nerds.

Also, if in Chicago, look for beers from local brewery Hop Butcher for the World. Tasty.

What's good from Oddside? My weirdo Uncle sent me some pics of some he picked up and I saw it at Central Market, but didn't get any. His reviews are of the imo variety.

Hopworks Urban Brewery.  Portland. It's the daddest brewery I've ever visited so you'd dig it the most

killer beer. highly recommend.

Happiness is being in the Cen Tex and finding 2 cases of Primus.  I’ve said for a long time that this one beer I’d pay a shit-ton more for, but the same could be said of Live Oak’s Hefe.  They just make really awesome, honest, tasty beer.  They just don’t make it up to the Panhandle...

This stuff is so freaking good!

I’ve actually been to it. Don’t remember the beer being anything special though.

There’s no way this is worth $21 a bottle is it?

Cafe de Olla?  I loved it.

Delirium Nocturnum, imo.

Nice.  Today's my bday and I have a bottle of Delirium Noel ready to go.

Love this beer and glad it's available in four packs now. The BBA stout was also great.d6894441950685806e193241f102dade.jpg

Couldn’t get a sixer...just a single bomber.  Did pick up 5 Vanilla Noirs at $7.50 each though.  That’s a far better beer.

Talked with someone in the know about Central Machine Works. They didn't have permits in place yet when they opened so they were brewing their beer at Southern Heights. As a result they didn't have much available and were not expecting the turnout they saw.  They should be going full steam ahead soon.

A bit of a lulz I was told is that they came up with this bad ass logo with the silhouette of a nude women swinging a hammer at an anvil, ordered merch, painted it on the water tank outside, etc.  An old lady, who owns all of the land in that area, invested a big chunk of cash in the brewery and sits on the board.  She never showed up to anything ever. She walks in right at opening and complains she's gonna pull funding if they don't get rid of the logo since she found it offensive towards women. So, they had to paint over the water tower and trash a lot of merch.  It's still on a few things at the brewery so those things may be collector items one day.

Yea they had 8 on tap when I went last week. Pitchers bumped down to $24 so business must be BOOMIN.

Got enough Sputnik to last until Spring and beyond
