Great way to totally fuck up the end of the game shitheads. Even the announcers dont know what the fuck is going on.

Yep. That doesn’t make sense at all.

Although they call holding when a DL gets tackled so they still are better than big 12 crews.

I'm impressed PAC officials were hiding flags up their asses, just in case they needed them.  That's dedication.

I like at the end of the UGa holding/Texas personal fouls unraveling debacle, the announcers said “please don’t talk anymore”.

I actually really enjoyed them till the end

This.

The non-call on Sam's slide was the only big miss I saw.  But I was a few lonestars in by the time the game started.

Our defense got tackled several times.

Did they apply the yardage correctly in the end, despite the lack of English language communication skills?

i figure that either the cook penalty was in play targeting as called, it and the holding offset, and the Gary Johnson penalty gets applied 15 yards from the initial LOS

or

the cook hit is changed to a late hit, the holding penalty is enforced 10 yards from the original LOS and then both PFs get applied for 30 yards for a net 20 yard advancement from the original LOS.

Are either of those the correct outcome, and did either of those happen?

I’ll have to re-watch it, but no. If one 15 yarder was negated, it should have been 10 yards on them for holding and 15 on us, for a net gain of 5 for them. They got a lot more than 5 yards. Morons.

Honestly it could have been a lot worse given some of the major flubs seen season wide

Announcers said they eventually spotted the ball at the Texas 34 but never said where the previous LOS was and I didn’t go back to look.

I'm glad they didnt go back and look, that would have been another 10 minutes. Surprised how well they did, they almost made it the entire game.

Play before the penalty was at the UGA 46, play after the penalty was at the Texas 34.  So 10 yards on UGA, and then 30 on Texas for the PF and Targeting.

So the officials got the yardage right even if they couldn't verbalize it.

According to Gamecast, the ball went from the UGA 46 to the Texas 34, so they walked off the 10 yards for holding and 30 for the two personal fouls.

What he said.

I thought the officials were great. They caught the punter's knee being down for example..Don't know if the Big 12 officials would catch something like this unless its us doing it of course.

Though I’m still not sure about the Davis targeting, and him having to sit out the first half of Texas pro day.

This can't be said enough.  What an asshole convergence.

Even with the shitshow at the end, this game was officiated much better/cleaner than a big 12 game.  Hell, with a big 12 game, we would have had 4 or 5 trainwrecks like the personal fouls at the end, missed calls, blown calls, and calls where they fuck up both the verbalization and the penalty yardage.

The biggest difference is last night, until the end, I didn't even notice the officials.  With a big 12 game, they're almost the focal point with their incompetence.

Other than that the big complains is that once again we somehow were held only once the entire night, even in this game where our DL was having their way with their OL at times.

This is a major issue in college football to me right now, and is a huge factor in offenses taking over the game. They seriously need to address this at a national level. It used to be you could get away with holding inside the defender's frame and everyone knew that, but nowadays blockers engage defenders by grabbing the outside of their shoulder pads. That is holding and it should be called until it stops.

Yep.   The egregious holding is out of control.

And on their last drive.

I agree, but I don't see this changing unfortunately.
