WE GOTS RAIN IN BEE CAVE!!

A good shower.  Front is moving in (again, sorta rare in Aug.) and it's definitely enough to wet stuff, might be getting a quarter inch afore it's all over.
30% chance today but man I wouldn't have expected it.
Again tomorrow, before the front washes out.  It could happen to you!

You lucky son of a bitch.

is the excessive rain this year being triggered from the ash rising to the atmosphere from the concentration camps on our border?  Like volcanoes creating storms when the erupt?

We're getting more now... probably up to 1/2" on this puppy.

Good, no watering shit tomorrow, which I have to do daily now.

Sitting here watching Sopranos when the dog jumps in my lap. She only does this when she hears thunder, so lo and behold rain is pouring here in the 52.

Get fucked.  That thing was headed SE straight to Hewitt/Woodway earlier and then got stonewalled and went straight south.  Watering my ass off now.  Got up to 103 before “the storm hit”

Heh, now THIS is a forcefield, sorta kinda (although it looks like it's filling in). 8:35 p.m. radar...

Why you humblebraggin' sonuvabitch!

Nada yet in 78748, but at least there's thunder and lighting.

Nothing at my house. Fuck every last one of you with a rusty dildo.

Going to be hard to rust the dildo with no rain.

Sitting here in '59 and watching the lightning to the south, and earlier seeing lots of lightning east and west, and all I can think of, is that there is only one bigger cocktease in this world than the storms tonight.

1.5" in Kyle last night.    Wife is a lucky lady.

One more shot at it today, mostly after daytime heat builds up.

Then August returns for the weekend.

Man I got like 5-6 hours of light-steady rain, probably 3/4".   So veddy awesome.

Got a light dusting of drizzle but tons of wind as the storm juked around NB like it was a 2016 Texas linebacker.

braggart :(

Forgot to check the gauge this morning, but we got drenched in Shady Hollow. Closest Wunder Station shows a little over .5”

Meant to water the yard last night, and totally forgot. Double win!

Really need to spread some ant poison. Guess I’ll give it a go this afternoon and hope I get hit with another wave tonight. Fingers crossed...knock on wood...no jinx!

I'm pretty sure the ant poison needs to remain dry.  (unless you are reverse jinxing it)

As the storms formed yesterday, they made two beautiful red blobs of rain, with just a 2-3 mile gap between them.

Brisket lives slap-dab in the middle of that gap.  Furk.

OF FUCKING COURSE YOU DID!!

Exhibit 197 of why phd doesn't just report the weather, he makes it. Weather Warlock.

We had quite the lightening show on 360 near 2222 for about 90 minutes. Lots of dark clouds, too. Not a single drop of water.

I didn't measure it but I think it rained pretty good for at least an hour in East Austin last night. Another wave today would be very welcome.

I’m not that clever. It’s the kind that has to be watered in after application

I hear ya.

Had a really nice cell moving Southeast from between Clifton and Lake Whitney.  Coming directly at Waco/Hewitt/Lorena, and actually extended almost north to West.  Then Lake Waco farted in it's general direction, sending it straight south.  I got enough droplets that I had to go to the gas station and wash my windshield.

Same thing at my place in the CP.  It was fun to watch, though.

Last evening was sitting at a great little icehouse in San Marcos when the storm came through. Cold beer, cool breeze, heavy rain and lightening and of course Coeds in tank tops dancing in the rain. It was amazing.

I checked my 10 day forecast for NW Austin last night and it had 100+ on every day but the tenth day out.

This morning I check the same forecast and it only shows 100 for today and tapering down to 94 10 days out.

Is something happening that I did not read about on this thread?

My 25 day fairytale forecast says chance of rain after this week pretty much everyday

It also means there is a chance it won’t rain.

Officially 6 weeks without rain here in Abilene.

So it's either going to rain on opening weekend or the weekend after?  Great.  I'll be up in Haskell County the 6th-8th, probably shooting more tequila than birds, but it will inevitably rain then.

Had a nice little shower east of Pflugerville yesterday. 0.4 inches, the first rain measured by my weather station in over a month.

Humblebrag

Had two brief showers in 78717 just before sundown - enough to drip off the patio. Nothing in the rain gauge this morning.

I took a shower this morning.  Then walked outside and started to sweat.

Four days in a row I’ve had storms near enough to my house that I could smell the rain but we haven’t gotten a drop. Today may be the worst though.
