September 21, 20187 yr Back to the switch from points to a staggered starting score. This is what tiger needs to happen to win the tour championship besides winning the tournament: • Bryson DeChambeau finishing tied for 15th or worse. • Justin Rose finishing in a three-way tie for fifth or worse • Tony Finau finishing tied for third or worse • Dustin Johnson and Justin Thomas finishing in a three-way tie for second or worse • Keegan Bradley finishing tied for second or worse He needs to win and have all of those things happen. Next year he’d just need to come from 8 back of the lead.
September 21, 20187 yr Those things can easily happen. Based on current standings, if Tiger wins, he would only need Rose to drop down a few spots.
September 21, 20187 yr Anyone know where Jordan is this week? Not trying to be a smart ass or rag on him. Just curious if he might be somewhere close to Paris.
September 21, 20187 yr It feels like Tiger made a game plan to get it done last week and he did his part to get to this point. Some things broke his way and he sees a path. He's doing his part again and the guys who were hot are cooling a little while he is coming hot at the end of the race.

It can definitely happen. The two scenarios aren’t that much different. Just pointing out that pga made the change so a fan doesn’t need to track where 6 players need to finish, just watch everyone’s scores.
September 21, 20187 yr What the hell is BDC doing? He is 4 rounds of decent play away from $10 million, and he is currently DFL for todays round and is only ahead of Keegan for the tournament. Playing like shit is going to cost him millions, it likely has already cost him $7,000,000 and that is if he can right the ship and get up to 2nd place in the FedEx standings Edited September 21, 20187 yr by Wally Fairway

Speed is off.

September 21, 20187 yr That break where they showed multiple scenarios is a good example of what next year fixes. It’s intriguing, sure, but impossible to follow in real time
September 21, 20187 yr Welp. That was a kick in the nuts. The second shot didn’t seem that difficult.
September 21, 20187 yr Puts Tiger at 2nd in projected fed ex cup points https://www.pgatour.com/competition/2018/tour-championship/points.html

September 22, 20187 yr It's hard to put into words what this feels like. I'm not a car guy, but maybe a decent analogy would be there's been a dilapidated super car in the garage. Like a Ferrari that was a world beater in its day. But total mess. And then it's been painstakingly restored to damn near its original glory. And you just took it out on the PCH and a punk kid in a Miata laughed while passing you. So you think alright you little shit, it's on, and put that right foot down.
