Never heard of him, but this has a nice vibe. Love the guitar rhythm riffage throughout.

Check out everything from Colemine Records.

Last one.  Some of this shit this label puts out just kills.

Since I'm here, I'll throw in one of my dinofuck recommendations of a newish band I just discovered, from their most recent release. If you love derivative 70s hard rock style that just kicks ass check this out.

the new king gizzard album rips so fucking hard. those songs are going to be incredible live..at stubbs on sept 4.

Last few shows, they’ve played the entire album.

Gonna be gud.

Local station near Albany, NY has been playing Holy Roller from Emily Wolfe in heavy rotation.  I dig it.

big fan of everything konradsen has put out so far (skip to :38)

Anyone else take in the new Lana Del Rey album yet? I've been listening to it all day.  It's goddamn amazing.

Maybe too soft/slow for some, but I love everything Black Belt Eagle Scout has put out. Saddle Creek Records which I think was founded by Bright Eyes years ago. New album out today...

So I just found out one of my favorite classic rock artists of all time has joined The Dead Daisies. And it sounds pretty dang awesome.

I've been focusing on Tool.

I'm going to trust you on this one. Don't lead me wrong.

I'm a huge THS fan, and I've been loving this.  A real breath of fresh air and their best album in a decade at least.

finally got around to it. production and songwriting are really impressive, but something still feels cold about it. need some change of tempo somewhere.

New M83 - NSFW

Always put a ton of effort into their music videos.

might be my least favorite Avett tune ever.

yeah this is some shit.

Right? I'm hoping they don't go full on political with the new album.

Check this out - Francis and the Lights, Bon Iver, Kanye West

I don't think I've really enjoyed an Avett Bros album since The Carpenter.

Two new Milk Carton Kids and Mandolin Orange tunes out today as well.

damn i like mandonlin orange.  thanks

One of the last bands I expected to release a new album.

I'm not even going to dignify that thing's existence.  God damn it, Pete.  Just hang it up.

My Release Radar is spattered with the 90s.

STP, Weezer, Goo Goo Dolls, Third Eye Blind, Green Day, Noel Gallagher, Pixies

edit: Looks like Korn put something out as well.

New Wilco "Everyone Hides" from the upcoming "Ode to Joy."

  • 2 weeks later...

New Sturgill out today. I think I really like it, but definitely a departure from his other albums. Much more rock and noise. Not country.

Mecury in Retrograde may be in my top 3 Sturgill songs.

Abbey Road reissue has some good stuff on it.

Might have been mentioned already, but I bumped into the new Sundara Karma album on the release radar and started listening to quite a bit of their stuff. A huge Bowie vibe going on. Enjoying it quite a bit.

Another new Foals song dropped last week. I don’t like it as much as the last two.

New Wilco, Avett’s and Old Crow all out Friday. Good week for Americana.

I knew Wilco's "Ode to Joy" was coming -- Avett is a nice surprise.

Yeah, that is a jam.

Born in Greece to Nigerian parents.  Moved to Texas when he was 11.  I think he's DFW based.  Worth a listen.

Yeah, that is a jam.
Just the rhythm of that song fucking jams for me. I love this album. Make Art Not Friends is badass too. But most of the rest album just fucking rocks. Its great. Very similar to the last show i saw him play although it was him jamming on his guitar playing all the songs from the last couple albums. Completely different from the previous shows I'd seen him with the large backing band.

What an artist. Listening to the Joe Rogan podcast now.
