Jawja 7 Longhorns 9? Somebody didn't watch the Sugar Bowl.

A top ten finish? Nice. Now let's not lose to Louisiana Tech.

Not behind Florida either. That's asinine.

Still obsessed with that one time they hung with Bama and only lost by a touchdown, I guess.

Start at 23, lose to Maryland, drop out of the polls, fight back to finish 10 - 4 with a win over SEC SEC SEC and Georgia in the Sugar Bowl and a top 10 ranking.  What a remarkable season.

Now, don't start flat again, and let's not have key players have to sit out parts of games for stupid shenanigans, and next year looks pretty good.  I can't wait for next season.

Top 4 have 75% or so rate to get into playoff?  Funny feeling Clemson is only one of those to make it next year.

Eh, they have a better record. Not sure how we would have done against UMass, Austin Peay, and Middle Tennessee State...well ok I guess I do. Texas beats all three by one score.

pretty sure you got 2 players gotta sit out first half of first game next year.

What the fuck? We destroyed them!

Nope. First targeting was on a senior.

....annndd this is exhibit # 7493750684 regarding why polls are useless in sports.

so then he sits his first game in the arena league.  This shit is serious.

how does the poll already come out? do they vote on everything but 1 and 2 beforehand? like the results of this game don't show anything about the other teams, like the whole SEC?

Top ten finish for the first time since Colt. Feels good to feel good again.

SEC knob slobbing is unceasing.  The best (jawja and bama) the mighty SEC had to offer get their shit rammed in and they still drop this final poll...

I'm highly pleased.  I had this team at 7-5/6-6 at the beginning of the year.  After week 1, that looked accurate.  But, damn, Texas is a tough minded, physical team that is starting to stack talent.  Good things to come:  Hook 'em!!!

Almost like you reached into your pocket and found three twenties and a ten.

Polls don’t matter for rankings when there is a real playoff, with selections based upon game outcomes instead of marketing campaigns.

Leave diving, figure skating, and gymnastics to the middle age and geriatric pedophile judges and keep football away from these ““committees” and their barking rectum “sports journalist” propaganda machines.

Nevermind where they are in the poll, can anyone tell me why LSU is ranked above the Gata?

Same record, Head to head win, and a larger win against a higher ranked opponent in the bowl game...

tl/dr  polls suck

Army should have been ranked at least 5 spots higher.

No fucking surprise that three fucking SEC teams are ranked directly ahead of us- the only reason we have 4 fucking losses is because we played a fucking championship game and lost.

if sec team loses a conference championship game its because they lost to the greatest conference ever.

The only team ahead of us to lose their championship game was Georgia. so of course they are tied with Florida.   Wash St has an argument, but they ended up behind us.

I think it is fair to say that UT is ahead of schedule.

Top 10 finish and Sugar Bowl win.

Now it is critical that the team doesn't let press clippings go to their heads during off season.

Herman needs to add some recruiting difference makers to the staff in off season

Team cannot sleep on any opponent. Cannot have 3rd straight year with a season opening loss. Schedule is set for Texas to make a run next year. Time to strike.

Last night and the sugar bowl showed the sec was really average this year.  Bama tore through that conference and Clemson beat them up.  Of course the rankings ignore this entirely.

Oh well, who cares, this year is done.  If you told me at the start of the year we'd finish with 10 wins, a sugar bowl win over Georgia, and a top 10 ranking, I'd take it no matter what.

Same here.

the Horns are headed in the right direction, but need to get more separation from the Dinky Dozen mob.

All four agy losings to TOP TEN (MOSTLY SEC) teams.

Advantage: agy

We're Top 10 and beat two teams that finished higher.  Pretty solid for year two. As others have posted, need to take care of bidness from the get-go in 2019.  #CaptainObvious

If anybody in our program is satisfied after that 4th quarter in the Big 12 Championship game and watching OU celebrate their millionth Big 12 Championship I seriously have to question if they even belong here.

Awesome job Horns! Proud of these young men.

I don't get LSU's or ND's ranking. Can someone mansplain these to me? Thx.

LSU's spot is honestly pretty damn close to legit.

They destroyed Georgia, they lost to Florida at Florida, Bama beat the tar out of them and they got fucked by the refs in a 7OT marathon against the fighting Texum Bulldogs

and like it or not, ND played a real schedule this year and while they were destroyed in their last game, they still only lost 1 game.  ND beat 4 ranked teams,  Michigan, Stanford, Va Tech, & Syracuse

in addition, they beat Florida State & USC-   I admit, both those teams sucked, but thats not ND's fault, they scheduled good teams who happened to blow ass this year.

Overate State jumping Notre Dame and OU by ducking the playoffs is a huge joke, too.  ND's only loss is to the 15-0 team that just whipped the hell out of a Bama that all these poll morons had #1 the entire season.

Cfb is still a fraudulent beauty contest.

Can we just win the fucking Big12 for starts?

Right?

I don't have a problem with this final ranking.  We lost 4 games, one of them being Maryland.  No. 9 seems just about right.  More important than final poll number, we pounded Georgia for a Sugar Bowl win to end the season.  A bump up one or two spots in the poll wouldn't produced any greater momentum going into the 2019 season.

Georgia over Texas is interesting.  If only there was some kind of objective way to determine who the better team is 🤔

8 conference games now.

Yes. Not playing every team in your conference is garbage and horrible.

Yeah but the other 4 out of conf. games are a fucking killer!  Week 12 vs. Richmond/Charlotte/France, cmon man!

beat 2 teams ranked ahead and will beat LSU.

Fuck it. I like it. At first I was pissed Georgia was ahead of us after we beat that ass, but I hope this will give our players fuel to murder everyone next season.

Also LSU and Kentucky Agra’s of aggy has got to be pissing those pussies off. Haha

has the 2019 Clemson schedule been released?

I know I cannot wait to see Wofford take them down.

Kinda tough on their fans at home by closing with four away games.
