Money over everything tho. Until the stock price starts reflecting the economic reality of the company as opposed to Elon sky high promises, there isn't going to be any serious effort to remove him. The stock's value right now is tied entirely to Elon and not the fundamentals of the company. I don't think any major investor is going to willingly take the price hit that would come with getting rid of Elon and actually getting the company in proper functioning order.

But the stock is down ~40% from the 12 month high. (still ridiculously inflated) At what point do they throw him overboard?

Maybe if market cap gets below 300B (lower than Toyota)? Hard to say because the value is so disconnected from the business right now. In order to get rid of him you'd need some belief that the company could reach or surpass its market cap at the time without him at the helm, and unless P/E gets down to the level of other manufacturers (4-10), I have a hard time figuring out how anyone could have confidence in that.
May 6May 6 https://finance.yahoo.com/news/tesla-troubles-european-business-is-getting-worse-as-sales-slump-in-april-155815479.html Tesla’s (TSLA) troubles in Europe are going from bad to worse. The latest data out of the UK found Tesla registrations (a proxy for sales) hit only 512 new vehicles in April, per the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders auto trade group. That figure is down 62% from a year earlier; meanwhile, Chinese EV maker BYD's (BYDDY) registrations surged over 650% to 2,511 units. Tesla’s UK underperformance follows weakness in other key regions. Germany’s KBA trade group reported registrations dipped 46% in the country to 885. The country is home to Tesla’s only European factory. BYD saw its German registrations jump over 755% to 1,566 units.

July 9Jul 9 we've got a company that loses sales huge YoY, CEO does multiple nazi salutes, and now has a bot designed to spread the word of MechaHitler. How is this not absolutely in the tank.

July 9Jul 9 So was the rest of the world. He did some legitimately cool shit before he turned into whatever the fuck he is now.
July 9Jul 9 So here’s an interesting question to ponder - if you had $400 billion, and you wanted to disarm, defeat, neuter, (whatever you want to call it) Trump, how would you go about it?

July 22Jul 22 I think that’s actually a good idea. Could be successful if executed well. Which it probably won’t be.

July 25Jul 25 Nailed it. I'm gonna laugh when his autonomous robotaxis still have safety monitors riding around in them months from now. Such a technological triumph.

December 17Dec 17 Drove the 2026 full self driving model S for a week a bit ago. That car is super dope. Drove it back roads to San Marcos and I35 back to Austin and didn’t have to take over once. Unreal. Interface is really nice, interior feels nicer than before too.
December 17Dec 17 https://comma.ai/shop/comma-four Put this in whatever non Tesla and get back to me on performance. It's nearly 2026.

I don’t really drive anymore (<5% of time) and feel safer when the car is in control.

Add 400 mile range (I’m old enough to not need the Plaid version) and it’s hard to beat. side note we have a mach-e GT right now for a teen and it’s pretty dope too (teen is under contract 2 speeding tickets and he’s sidelined for 3 months (first is a week). I understand Ford’s market reaction but I don’t understand the market reaction - EVs are super fly - not having to go to the gas station is one of life’s underrated luxuries. This was my combo and it's available. Dunno if it would pass the manual review.
