Should have lined Princely up at the 4i

Lampasas up 35-19 at the half against liberty hill

other than running out of time at half they’ve scored a TD every drive. Lampasas QB is around 15/18 for 300 yards.

Aside from always supporting the Chaps, beating teams from San Antonio provides me with a little extra joy. As we supported my daughter's various teams over the years, San Antonio fans always took the prize for being the worst fans. They would always talk crap at our players, our fans, and the refs and have openly cheered when our players were injured.

I've seen them escorted from youth soccer games. Best was when they cornered the ref after a youth soccer game and tried to force him to watch the "video evidence" that proved his egregious call. (To his credit, he refused to watch the video.)

Last season, a player from Cibolo Steele injured one of our Westlake girls' basketball players and then led the crowd in celebratory cheers. Never seen anything like it.

So keep administering the beatings to SA teams, Chaps and LT.  It couldn't happen to a nicer fan base.

What in the fuck are you talking about.

Me too. That would have been fun.  Too bad it couldn’t be held at ATT stadium.

It was 49-35 final.

North Shore prevails in defensive slugfest with Atascocita, 76-49. LT in cruise control vs Judson late in the 4th. Interesting showdown next week between LT & NS. Also looks like the cards have fallen into place for Westlake to win their 2nd state title. No competition left for them at all in D2.

Should be a good one. I think it’s in Allen.

Rockwall and Prosper about to kick off on KTXA 21.

Wow. Prosper scores on first possession then gets a pick 6.

Rockwall up 21-14 midway through 2nd.

This weekend Pennsylvania held its football championships, all are played at Hershey.

Tonight is the 6A finals, the largest class (no division breakup here). One school is a public school 7 miles from the Hershey stadium, the other is a private school in Philly about 90 miles away.

Let’s check out the crowd. It’s perfect December weather here, dry, no wind and around 26.

It’d be tough for Westlake to best Westfield.

Thank you so much for your updates while I was at work. I smiled when I saw them. I just cannot believe the Battlin' Badgers are into the Final Four. My hometown has been really bad at foosball for the most part, but Troy Rogers has done the impossible. From a 12-2 State quarter run in 1993 to this. He has to feel a fair amount of pride in what he has done for our hometown.

I have no explanation for how he engineered this turnaround. I just think it is a pretty darn good ride for the town to get to witness it. I texted a friend I graduated with and he said they are on point every week and he finds it amazing as well. He has never seen them look like this either. Hope the band plays "I'm a Badger" a dozen times or so next week in New Caney.

Ja'Quinden Jackson

8-8 passing for 186 yards and 2 TDs

12 carries for 129 yards and 3 TDs

Southlake was much improved in this matchup vs last year but had no answer for Ja'Quinden. Chris Thompson III did not play and Southlake actually outgained Duncanville.

Quinn Ewers the class of 2022 Southlake QB was 33-52 for 393 yards and 3 TDs.

Just reporting how piss-poor PA football is. They have excellent individual talent but these teams wouldn’t get to the third round in Texas’ 5A D2 imo.

Back to Texas, that North Shore v Lake Travis game should be great.

They played it about a 100 times during the game I went to a couple of weeks ago.  Wife and I were singing it all the way home.  That is one catchy little song.

Lampasas is playing Carthage in New Caney Tx,

2.5 hours from Carthage, 3.5 from Lampasas. Lampasas wanted to play in McLane in Waco but Carthage said no. Stadium in New Caney only seats 8000, Lampasas had over 6,000 against Liberty Hill yesterday. Not bad for a town of 10,000. First time since 87 they made the state semifinal.

That’s not going to give you accurate info on the schools. Plano East is nearly 30% Asian, Plano West nearly 25%.

You ask how I know this? Well, I'm glad you asked. When I'm not posting on the internet defending the honor and dignity of the UIL I'm up at all the Plano high schools working as the Head of Ethnic Determination, Asian Division (a position I created for myself). I post up at a high school in my van of surveillance equipment and start recording all the ethnicities of the students. Now, I'm in charge of keeping up the Asian count, so I focus on them, which can be difficult as they are known for their sneakiness. And, I know what you're going to say next, how do I determine if the student Asian? It's actually simpler than you think. There are only 4 kinds of people in the world: black, white, asian, and some kind of Mexican. So you run into some problems when you come across an Indian. India is in Asia, but they also look like some kind of Mexican. According to the rule book they are technically some kind of Mexican. So there you have it.

So (Austin) Westlake is going to play (Katy) Taylor

And your making the decision on where to play this game....so you get a map of Texas out and look at it......and you decide on McLane Stadium in (Waco)

WTF??

Is LT really improved that much to make it interesting?  Last year they got humiliated, losing 51-10.  I've always though you never really know what you've got with the region 4 teams at state, since the path out of region 4 isn't very daunting, with a lot of crappy teams out of the valley and San Antonio.

Well I’m just interested to see if they can keep it close this year or if they get blown out again. And SA always had some very legit squads from the 90s up until the early 2010s. I really don’t know what’s happened recently.

Does not matter.

Just like 2017, I'm going to drive to Katy to root for Wimberley Friday, but won't be terribly disappointed if they lose because a loss would spare them a defenestration by TPG.

I assume TPG will treat Midland Greenwood as inhospitably as they treated Graham.

Likely. PG is playing better than in 2017 when they won it all. But you never know. The wing-t offense with only 7 plays is fun to watch.

Well what would be a neutral site game for those teams? The Oakridge Smokehouse parking lot in Schulenberg?

Rockwall 59 - Prosper 42 Final

This game had a weird ending. Prosper is Down 10 with about 45 secs left and Rockwall has the ball at the Prosper 2 yardline. Prosper lets like 30 secs run off the clock and calls a timeout with 9 secs left. Rockwall then throws a jump ball to their stud receiver who catches a TD and Rockwall wins by 17. After the game some of the Prosper coaches didn't shake the Rockwall coaches hands in the line and a Rockwall coach and Propser coach were yelling at eachother mid field. Mike Roach got a video of it and it's floating out there on twitter somewhere.

My two cents- If you don't want Rockwall to score again, don't call timeout.

Yep, Rockwall was just letting the time expire on the 4th down play at the 2 yard line. No reason to call a timeout by Prosper. That made Rockwall run a play.
I don't know if Prosoer thought they would simply kneel it and give the ball over on downs to their offense?
Even the TV announcers said if you don't want Rockwall to score there, then don't call a timeout.

I don't remember where I saw it, somewhere on twitter but After the game a Prosper coach said they had 12 men on the field and were forced to call a timeout. Which makes a little more sense, either way if Rockwall just kneels it and there's a flag I''m sure Rockwall just declines it and chooses to let the time run off. Or the refs don't even throw the flag bc Rockwall is kneeling.
