Will be interesting to see who can recover better between Hamilton and Riccardo, working up through the field while also racing each other.

Up front I actually expect a repeat of Silverstone where Vettel controls the whole way. The better race might be between Verstappen and Bottas.

I think Ham will be racing his shattered ego.  Even Nico Rosberg commented on how he'd "never seen" the sort of body language Lewis had after car crapped out.

HAM will be fine. He will race back into the points pretty easy. Marc seems to be having a string of issues this year, right when Ferrari are nailing it...

Biggest question - does Kimmy take out Bottas or wait for HAM to come through the field and take him out? [emoji16]

Mercedes is really pushing because they aren’t the straight up fastest car anymore. It’s razor thin and track dependent between them and Ferrari, but the Ferrari seems much easier to setup and to drive. There’s still a long ways to go, though.

Should make for an interesting race. Especially with Hamilton having to drive from mid-pack and Riccardo from the back.

Looking forward to seeing what Ric and Ham do starting back in the pack

I'm sure they will work their way through. But then the question is, how far in front will the top-four be by that time.

Rain too.

C'mon rain. Not much drama otherwise.

I was thinking the same thing, although, I would like for the rain to hold off for another 15 laps or so.

I realize that Hamilton is a great driver but when you watch these guys go through the field so easily it just highlights how much better the car is than the rest of the field.

Vettel to the pits, lap 26, while leading, comes out in fourth behind Bottas, Max and Kimi. Top-two have not been in the pits, nor has Hamilton, one spot behind Vettel.

Bottas pits, exits in 5th behind Hamilton. Kimi in lead. Riccardo is out, looks like another engine failure. Max pits, comes out in 5th....

Ric out sucks, him being on the Med tyre was going to keep him out longer and have more grip at the end which could have made for a barnstorming charge for the podium

"Just tell me what you want me to do."

Gotta love Kimi being direct when then Ferrari team was telling him indirectly to let Seb through.

Verstappen to drive like a lunatic and take out Ham?

One can only hope.

Vettel would really have made Hamilton start to think had he held on to win this race. I don't think we've ever seen Hamilton really pressured, other than the Rosberg season.

Who honestly thought Ham was even a chance of winning today....not this black duck.

Verstappen going to inters and then back to ultras .....what could have been?

That's a very subdued victory radio message from both Mercedes and Lewis. They understand the luck factor.

And team orders telling Bottas to stand down

Ferrari just can't beat Mercedes on tactics.

Wut. Pretty much every other race this year where it has mattered, they have.

I don't think it's been that clear cut in Ferrari's favor with tactics.

fuck that bitchass hamilton, lucky mother fucker

it aint just luck if the team orders bottas to back off...

Mercedes earned a double podium with the correct call on Hamilton's tires and not freaking out at a few raindrops and putting on intermediates or anything.

They were lucky to get the win with Vettel's mistake, but they made the right calls.
