Texas is either going to fuck around and win this somehow or it's going to get really ugly.

I'm not seeing any inbetween result here.

Ku -6.5, total at 135. While we have covered the spread the last three years at KU, the line seems a bit low. I'm guessing it's the Azubuike injury that keeps the spread low.

Do I have to watch?

I mean, I will.  But still

Agreed

I know this isn't the gambling thread, but that has nothing to do with Texas covering the spread this year.

This is exactly the type of game our athletes get up for. Of course that's what makes the Radfords and OSU's so much harder to swallow.

Where did I imply that gambling results from previous games dictate the gambling results of future games. It was merely a comment that Smart"s teams have historically outperformed expectations set by Vegas when playing games in Lawrence.

We'll get down early, like 15-4, be down double digits at halftime, "claw back into it" as KU goes on cruise control, and lose by ~8.

BON and Barking Carnival recaps will celebrate the team's resilience, coming back from 14 down, and how we almost kinda sorta could have had a chance if our shitty 3 point shooting team just shot a little better, or that durned low percentage running floater wouldn't have rattled out when we were poised to make a run with 4:15 left. I will consider registering to make a snarky comment, then ultimately decide against it and stick to bitching in the Fire Shaka thread.

Fin.

Yes. My comment was that I don't think Vegas is looking at games from 2 and 3 years ago to set tonight's line. -6.5 seems about right if we're looking at what each team has done this season.

I think the BC basketball commentariat, including BWG, are fairly level headed when evaluating the team's performance.  I don't usually read BON.

Exactly. I hate level-headedness when I'm mad and looking for places to vent.

It's because I start writing after I'm done using my screaming pillow.

Hey, whatever floats you and your partner's boat, man. We don't judge for that stuff around here ... at least, we try  not to.

I’m almost glad I have chest cold so I can take an extra dose of cough syrup before watching this game.

I predict a win.

KenPom says 72-64 for KU but I'm not sure if that factors Azubuike's injury or not.

Texas 68

Kansas 66

I have no reasonable explanation for why I think this.

I'm really sick of KU's shit.  They're the Patriots of the Big 12.  Have a rebuilding year once in a while.  Jerks.

Typical start, we throw up 2 brick 3's and they drain 2

Lets not turn this into a 3 point shooting contest.

Jesus fuck. Just fire his ass now and get it over with

This may be the worst Texas team in a long time.

And a time out with less than 2 minutes gone. Gonna be ugly.
