January 16, 20196 yr jalapeños...nope. habaneros...nothing. serranos...p’shaw. Indian red chilis...zilch. but Thai peppers...holy lord they engulf my anus with a raging inferno. discuss.
January 16, 20196 yr Jalapenos get me from time to time and it doesn't seem to correlate with their hotness in my mouth. I tend to think it has more to do with their ability to pass through my guts "intact" than their Scovill rating. I have not had much trouble with hotter peppers, but I don't consume them in great quantity (the quantity of japs passing through the ringmeat may be a factor as well).
January 16, 20196 yr What are we talking about on the Scoville scale? Do you know the exact variety of said Thai Pepper? Thai peppers are shown on the scale as being 100,000. Well below the 300,000 of a habanero...maybe a bhut jolokia was used in the dish?
