Space Force - Netflix - Starring Steve Carrell, Created by Greg Daniels

4 episodes in and I like it. I don’t get the hate.

The 3rd episode was great.

“A tampon is pretty masculine. It spends all day in a pussy.”

“Really, 5 hours tops. Am I right?”

“If you address my gender again, I’ll fuck you in the ass.”

I don't understand the I couldn't last 10 minutes crowd, but I can understand those that bailed after an episode or two.  It's not as funny as it should be.

Thought it was pretty good and enjoyable. The episode where it got all serious with the open marriage (7?) was dumb.

john malkovich makes the show. Should headline for season 2; plays the part effortlessly. Also, the B rated show actors are all A +.

It’s just entertaining enough for me to watch. Agree that Malcovich saves the show from being a disaster. Steve Carrell had a few LOLs over the ten episodes, but most of the time he’s playing a a less funny military version of Michael Scott without a good Dwight/Jim foil. Does not meet the expectations for Steve Carrell and Greg Daniels. Hope for more in Season 2.

Haven't seen it, but I could take a wild guess as to why the usual snooty critics don't like it. I hope it's good and I get to see it someday.

C+ but I ended up watching all of it. Did they ever explain why the wife was in jail?

No they haven’t explained that yet.

Worst plot line of the show by far.

I’m only two episodes in but it’s obvious it’s the tease they’re using to keep you in. I’ll give it a few more episodes since my daughter wants to watch with me so it’s our thing. Also like Carrell and Malkovich although it seems they’ve put the comedic handcuffs on JM to make him a straight man to Carrells over the top general.

My favorite Carrell role was Brick. Freaking genius.

I agree with C+, especially with all the great actors associated with the series.

Especially if they're not choosing to have a regulation "women's prison" scene.

I watched it to the end.  It wasn’t as good as I wanted it to be, but it kind of grew on me the longer I watched it.  I really don’t like the daughter character though.  The scenes with all of the generals at the table together are my favorite.

Nice Puddy cameo.

I didn’t think it was bad. It didn’t meet expectations, but I’d watch season 2.

Would like some more monkeys and dogs in space fiascos.

Yeah - that was probably the best episode

Small scene. But i died when grandma was farting because she got too much air from the CPAP machine.  Fred Willard played it masterfully.  RIP Fred.

Then watch "Ad Astra."  Monkey fiascos that go up to 11.  About the only part of the movie that didn't "insist upon itself."

I don't have Netflix but may need to get it temporarily to watch a few things. I enjoyed the first season and it's generally difficult for shows to hold my attention. Granted you can get through it in a day.

A second season dropped a couple weeks ago. Anybody started it yet?

Started it. Couldn’t finish it.

Season 2 of this dropping reminded me that I liked that space show with Hugh Laurie

go in with low expectations and you’ll be fine.

I didn't hate Season 1 as much as a lot of people seemed to, but even the first couple episodes into this season I'm struggling to get through.

I could recommend this show based on the Marcus and Theodore scenes alone.  Apart from that, it has some good moments.
