January 17, 20196 yr I'm sure Tom would have had no problem with him transferring to OU. Definitely wouldn't have blocked it.

January 17, 20196 yr I don't fault Buechele. He's a Charlie holdover and his window is running out. I want to be annoyed at the underclassmen but it's got to be tough knowing you won't be the guy for at least 2 more years. It's just the price of doing business now.
January 17, 20196 yr Can't blame him. He's got two more years to live one of his childhood dreams. Give em hell.

January 17, 20196 yr So let me get this straight, Rising, Thompson, and Shane are all int he transfer portal, so it is entirely possible we have lose 3 QBs this offseason. And it isnt like Elingher is some sort of ironman. We use him like a battering ram and it is concerning we might lose all depth at QB if he needs to sit a game against a shitty team to heal up.

January 17, 20196 yr Thank you for your time at UT, Shane. Have fun and tear it up at your next stop.

January 17, 20196 yr Thanks, Shane. Good luck at SMU or wherever life takes you. This offense does not play to your strengths, but you were a solid teammate until we could develop a little depth.
January 17, 20196 yr I’d rather have Thompson backing up Sam than Shane. The 4th string guy. Sure, me too.

Keep your options open. If you dont like them then stay put.
January 17, 20196 yr Thanks for beating Notre Dame. Good luck. Someday I hope you outgrow the buzz cut, that’s a 5th grade haircut.
January 17, 20196 yr I don't know what happened to him. It seems like he didn't develop at all, and maybe even regressed here. Getting sacked repeatedly that first year might have broken him ala David Carr in Houston.

January 17, 20196 yr Good luck to Shane. He gave us 3 years and some quality wins, I hope he goes somewhere he can start right away and do well. Okay. Cool. Hook em', Shane.

January 17, 20196 yr Him Harbaugh gets 3-4 experienced transfer and grad transfer guys a year to duke it out. Herman just needs to find one serviceable guy out there “just in case”.
January 17, 20196 yr He came from an OU family yet chose UT. That intelligence will serve him well in life, even if football never works out for him. Hook 'em, Shane! 🤘
January 17, 20196 yr When do we know if Cssey stays on board? He seems like the perfect prototype for Herman’s offense. Roschon does too. It seems like a lot of people are knocking Roschon but I think he will be a stud for us... if he doesn’t transfer...
January 17, 20196 yr Best of luck to Shane. He was a great representative of UT. I hope he finds the success he seeks!
January 17, 20196 yr Godspeed, Shane. Hell of a team player as everything around him really didn't go his way. Casey seems like a durable system fit, if not a guy that'll set the world on fire. Time to take a u-turn from the portal, bud.

Time to take a u-turn from the portal, bud.Yep - hopefully Thompson sees that he is going to be the primary backup and will have the opportunity to play and even possibly start a couple of games next season. He still has plenty of opportunity here - if he is willing to wait and learn under Herman/Beck/Ehlinger.
January 17, 20196 yr Good luck to Shane. Rising leaving as well puts us up against it with QB depth, but that's not really his problem nor should we expect it to be. Will be interesting to see where he ends up.

January 17, 20196 yr I don't give a shit about Shane transferring, but Cam hurts. I thought he would do well here. Oh well, Casey is a good qb, and I'm ready to see what he can do. He's a big kid.
January 17, 20196 yr depth wont be a problem next year just let this kid run the wildcat if needed hes unstoppable
