Hey guys, I'm wanting to smoke a brisket the Saturday before the Super Bowl to serve on Sunday at my family's watch party.  I'm wondering what the best process is in both packaging it up after it's cooked and what is the best way to reheat it.  I'm planning on also smoking some baby back ribs and fresh sausage on Sunday, so I was wondering if it would be a good idea to reheat it in the smoker at the same time?  Also, what temp should I reheat it to?  Anybody have experience doing this?  Any advice or tips?  Thanks!

Yes, Virginia, you can smoke a brisket ahead of time.  Go to the F & T section of Surly and ask for @ChampKind.  He is the resident brisket whisperer.  Don't forget to ask him which brand of ketchup goes well with brisket

I have a friend that will smoke several briskets st a time and freeze what he doesn’t eat. He vacuum seals the briskets and just drops the bag into boiling water to heat them up. If you didn’t know, you could never tell.

i've done this and they come out great. Smoke it, wrap it in butcher paper, re-heat in the butcher paper in an aluminum pan until internal temp hits 140.

i do this every year

cook day before, wrap, let rest. overnight in the fridge in a hotel pan (disposable aluminum works just fine).  next day heat back up (take the foil off but not the paper) and serve.

Throw it in a crockpot for 4-6hrs and it will be great. Maybe add some beef broth as well

A lot of great input.  Thanks guys.  I'll pick up a bottle of liquid smoke this weekend.

* P.S. I'd rep all of you guys, but I'm out all ready.
