Luna is a white GSD. Yea she gets goofy with me and her dog pals, but if a dog acts the fool she will put it on its back. She also gets really fucking scary when someone knocks on the front door.

I see that now.

My version of FAFO dog is this one. He’s lazy and only wants to sleep. But he keeps the other two in their place, and doesn’t let people out of their vehicle.

That’s a fantastic idea!!!  I haven’t played frisbee golf in 20 years.

does it mean that I got old when I tell you I don’t want to hit my bird feeder by mistake?

I’m not a dumbass.

How can I regret spending more on saving this dog's life than I did on my car?

For the last three nights, Sebastian has decided that 3:00 am is the perfect time to get a few toys out of his toy box and bring them into the bedroom to try and get me to play with him.  Of course, at 3:00 am, he prefers the toys that squeak.  This is decidedly not awesome.

I disagree. Definitely aggravating in the extreme but the nerve, the determination ... awesome.

Of course my perspective is different!

I bought Steady Teddy Stetson a $250 electric bark collar.

But I made a rule that everyone in the family has to get shocked first to know what it’s like.

we can’t figure out how to make it work.  And I’m pretty smrt

you have to be touching both of the prongs to complete the ciruit to allow for the shock to happen.

yeah, thats experience talking. I tested the shock collar on myself.... unpleasent, even on the lowest setting. But even on the highest, it was more ZING than pain.

3 am is the witching hour. Every dog I've ever had feels the need to start shit at 3 am.

I bought a little box that emits some high frequency noise that I can't hear whenever Penny starts barking. It shuts her up immediately.

Game?

Blue has yet to meet a dog whose ass she couldn't kick, if it came down to that.

Haha. Blue loves the other dogs, but when they push it too far...

Guess which one is the alpha.

Well, it's time to say goodbye to Donnie this afternoon. He has lived a solid 13+ years since my wife picked him up from the pound before we had met. He's been with her in 13 homes, through nursing and grad school, our engagement, marriage and birth of our son. Basically, the one constant of our relationship. The doberman (and more recently, baby) stole a lot of the attention away from him, but up until the last year when his health problems started to creep up, he was the easiest dog ever. It's so hard to know when the time is right, but every time one problem improves, another seems to pop up. He's lived a full, and hopefully happy life. Farewell, sweet boy...

Good boy, Donnie!  May the hand of peace, love, and kindness forever scratch you behind the ears.

RIP Sweet Donnie Boy ❤️

What an amazing life you gave him, and I am sure he returned the favor numerous times over.

Time for some well deserved rest, Donnnie. Seems like you helped make a great family.

Great pix, BTW.

"HI! My name is Blue. I somehow closed a bedroom door, locking myself in, while my dad was at work. I panicked and destroyed the carpet in an attempt to free myself."

Idiot.

Rest easy Donnie.

Take care of your wife thru this. Jeez I hate this thread sometimes.

Yea, that sucked. Donnie had a Mcnugget happy meal at the park before it was time to go. I was going to have the fries myself, but he had other ideas.

To lift the thread up again, here's Mango trying to catch a fly.

We had 3 golden retrievers.  Unfortunately had to put my oldest down a couple of weeks ago.  He got cancer and couldn’t get past it.  His name was Bear.

Last night our youngest, Aspen, had 6 puppies.  4 boys and 2 girls.

Blue had to go for her annual exam and shots today. She is such a clown. Vet said she was a great way to start her Saturday.

Good dog.

So frustrating. She would normally just sleep on the bed in that room all day, anyway. Guess she didn't Ike being separated from Penny.

Aww, poor baby! Both of my dogs would do the same thing if they were separated. Edgar once broke out of a crate that we'd reinforced with two carabiners, then destroyed all the pillows on the bed in the room he was in, then gouged claw marks into the bedroom door. 🙄

Penny would have welcomed the alone time..

Ziggy turns 8 this month, still going strong. Did a 7 mile hike on Saturday.

Anybody seen one of these before? Fucking huge, probably 120lbs. I asked the little kid what kind of dog it was, but he didn't speak much english and he said something that sounded like "lion dog". I don't think it's a Tibetan Mastiff, but not 100% sure.
