May 11, 20241 yr Blue knows exactly where to hit the back screen door to pop it open and let herself outside. She takes a running leap, and right as she hit it, she turns her head back at you with a stupid dog grin on her face. "Can't hold me back!"
May 11, 20241 yr Popular Post Granddog Toby - age 11 - has survived a year & a half after being diagnosed with Lymphoma. He is still active and getting along ok without any of the chemo type treatment….just steroids that made him gain some weight. Edited May 11, 20241 yr by Armybrat

I like lazy dogs. Newfies and Berners are my speed.
May 11, 20241 yr Man, half heeler and half anything else make a good mix. I have a basset heeler, a husky heeler, and had a Rottweiler heeler. All fantastic dogs.
May 11, 20241 yr The heeler half makes them extremely intelligent and very loyal. And insane. I like dogs that sleep in with me and don't need a 2 hour hike each day.

The heeler in Blue keeps away the urge to escape and run that huskies have. The other breed takes the edge of the heeler traits.

May 14, 20241 yr Gave the ButtNugget her first big girl chew bone yesterday. She was so excited to have it, but didn't seem to know what to do with it, so I took it away as she just had this confused look. Somewhere in the interim she must have figured things out because when I gave it back to her she gave me this look and then finished it in 15 minutes. "COME AT ME BRO!!!"

May 15, 20241 yr Could the thread please recommend a breeder for a petite or mini goldendoodle breeder in Texas? What we’re looking for: - Two females from the same litter - Curly, red hair - Top weight of 15-25 pounds.

If so, I can give you the breeder's phone number. She has been breeding and showing them in competitions for 17 years. They are high energy, loyal, smart, stubborn, learn fast, beautiful, great with kids and very much own the name, "Velcro Dog." Here is what the AKC says about them: https://www.akc.org/dog-breeds/vizsla/ Edited May 16, 20241 yr by Lidig8r Imma Mohron.
May 16, 20241 yr Popular Post I think she may be a mix but definitely a lot of Vizsla traits from what I can tell so far. He ears don’t quite look as rounded I’m completely in love either way. She seems smart and trainable. Edited May 16, 20241 yr by hookemATL

May 19, 20241 yr "Thise who truly love you, love your at your lowest." I assume they are talking about dogs.
May 19, 20241 yr Vizslas are superb dogs, but need to fit your lifestyle. They need a solid couple of hours of outdoor roaming every day. Not on their own, either, hence the Velcro moniker. Mine goes for about 3 miles on the beach every morning and then for about 2 miles in the afternoon through a park/city setting but mostly off leash. My old man is 11 and still just as energetic. Pics because rules:
May 19, 20241 yr You live in Colorado though man. Take advantage!Yeah, but that's a lot of hiking. I already work out every morning.
May 19, 20241 yr Popular Post Thanks all for your thoughts. Very pleased so far and it’s been a good into for my 9yo on being responsible for someone other than yourself. Brie is clearly smart but in her puppy days so there’s lots of chances to correct behavior, which ofc comes with the territory. She’s really affectionate and the Velcro moniker is accurate and appreciated by me, as I tend to be overly affectionate to my pets and kiddos. Today we will take one of our first big adventures and do some free roaming play / harness work / etc. she is damn cute and loves my kids
May 21, 20241 yr A girl I work with stopped me today and said "you met my boyfriend last week" huh? Turned out when I was out at the Long Play Lounge with my two dogs, he came up to meet them. Went home and told her about these two cool dogs he met and described them. "Oh, that's Deej. He works with me." Haha. I guess they are pretty recognizable Edited May 21, 20241 yr by Deej

May 24, 20241 yr These are awesome dogs. I got Bailey and was surprised at how soft her coat is for a pit/cattle dog mix. Then a couple years later, Luna crawled into my lap at the pound and was even softer. Bailey and Luna. Pound puppies from Wilco. They rarely bark, shed twice a year and act as if they are starving for attention.

In a flowery halter that for the record I did NOT buy her. But it was a gift so she kind of had to wear it.
May 27, 20241 yr Maeby watching "TV for Dogs' on YouTube while Archie tries to be a pest off camera and Gracie wishes ill on Archie (also off camera)
May 27, 20241 yr I hate seeing these. And I do try to help whenever I can but this little girl is a perfect dog. If y’all know anyone in California that can adopt her before she is euthanized tomorrow I’d be grateful. Or at least I know I did my best to try.
