October 13Oct 13 Popular Post Our second foster got officially adopted today -- just took her and dropped her off. Wife cried about giving up this one, but she's going to an incredible family -- Mom used to be in the band Flobots, dad works from home, 2 boys, and a Corgi who was desperate for a friend to play with: 20251013_112256.mp4 Still gonna miss this sweet girl: If you have ever thought about fostering, do it! It is so incredibly rewarding. Based on our experience, these dogs understand what you've done for them and they're just incredibly grateful and immediately in love with you. They're just desperate for someone to love and protect them. Plus, we always take our dogs to our neighborhood breweries/restaurants, and we always get free beer or food when the waitress finds out that she's a foster dog. Edited October 13Oct 13 by Beau Vine
October 13Oct 13 I have thrown the tennis ball so much for these two that I’ve developed a shoulder injury. 20-50 throws a day for a few years = physical therapy appointment. But they live for it. So, I keep doing it.

She found Rose's collar and ashes and brought them over to me. I definitely had to wait until everyone was asleep before I opened the bag with the stuff inside. Dec makes 2 years since I lost Sadie... Other than carrying the bag inside, I havent opened, or touched it. I cant. Shes sitting in the living room directly behind her crate... which I just cannot allow myself to move either.
October 14Oct 14 I so hate/love this thread. Anyway, question for you. I’m tired of driving 8-10 hrs to SPI. I have convinced the wife that it will be no issues taking the jack holes on a flight. Our buttheads are very chill for jack russels. I see lots of dogs on leashes. Are they paying for them? I am longtime flyer but all for biz. Do you just declare mutts at check in or wait for them to ask? I’m a surly pooooo so saving bucks is always good.

October 14Oct 14 Little girl has added turning on a HomePod mini to her skill set. At least she has good taste in music. Big Bob Seger fan.

October 25Oct 25 I just watched little girl work out a geometry problem. She had to figure out how wide she had to open a door to get her lamb chop through. It took her a couple tries, but she figured it out. Nudge the door open with her nose, and then pick up lamb chop. Her lamb chop is bigger than she is so it’s always funny to see her running around the house with it in her mouth. I wish I had a picture. Edited October 25Oct 25 by billfromlaketravis

November 15Nov 15 This thread should never fall off the first page! So... my dogs took off solo on LONG adventure this AM to lord knows where. Upon return they let me know that Uga was a soft punk ass bitch of a indoor pampered dog that's skert of bull and deer. They are not impressed. Here they are after that trip and announcement.
