I know this is the dog thread and I really appreciate your contribution, but maybe next time just scoot the dog out of the frame a bit. Please and thank you.

Samson’s dna panel came back mostly lab and then cocker spaniel and a bunch of other stuff, but no beagle at all. So much for him being a beago or beagador.

We got two new puppies, Bella and Rocky. They are a brother and sister duo, 4 years old, maltipoo. Unfortunately, their dad is a tech tard and will have to figure out how to imbed pictures here.

Beautiful pup.  What’s your secret?

keeping his weight down. after he was a year old I’ve only fed him about half of what the bag says. and lots of sprinting, chasing squirrels, tennis balls, etc. almost never walk him but he goes to the park to run pretty much every day. his weight at the vet hasn’t varied more than half a pound in the last nine years. I keep waiting for him to become an old man but he just hasn’t done it yet.

Old senior dog mojo and well wishes would be appreciated. Kevin's teeth have gotten bad and the vet had to pull a bunch, including his lower canines. He's a good boy and he's miserable and I don't think there's any way he's eating anything (including more pain meds) tonight.

He was really fucked up last night. He did manage to perk up and drink some water, and I got him to eat some soft treats with his pills in them. And he seems to be emotionally coming back around this morning. Hates the cone and still fucked up but he’s moving and wants to be with me (in my still being assembled office don’t judge my router mess)

He’s a good boy. Really tough to see him declining, but it happens to all of us.

Whenever I see a photo of Kevin it brings a smile to my face and brightens my day. Even if I'm having a profoundly shitty day, Kevin always makes me feel better. Wish there was something I could do to return the favor. Get well old man.

Thanks sdm. I told him he’s a good boy and even the internet agrees and he’s achieved 100% completion in the good boy quest line. He had a busy 2020 moving across the country. Rough 2021 so far, but I’m really excited about him meeting our first kid in a few months and he can pass the torch.

Hang in there man. And yeah, we have all been there. I was quite hesitant to get another dog after losing my shepherds, but loving having a pup who sleeps on the foot of the bed and terrorizes the squirrels.

Sucre likes being held. Makes him sleepy. Or ornery, hard to tell.

Second pic is how we go for walks until his shots kick in.

Here is the latest picture of "blue dot." She arrives two weeks from today. We are still thinking of a name, which is made more difficult since we haven't met her in person due to the Covid lockdowns in London. Anyone have some tips on how they have socialized a pup during the pandemic? London will be a bit different to the US due to stricter lockdowns and limitations on mixing households, although we will certainly smuggle some friends and their kids over to the house and do some walks in the parks to get her acquainted with other dogs. Normally we would also have plenty of pub time with the new bully, but they are closed until Spring.

Why and what the hell is that?

hahaha, I do but just never stumbled on that. I prefer to let this be my #1 go to for bad ass dog pictures.

Mentioned it to my girlfriend and she looked at me like I was older than Army Brat.

Wasn't he in your wedding?

He likes to be held when eating a treat even more. Appropriate background is appropriate.

That won't be so cute when he's full grown. I mean, it will still be cute, just not so comfortable.
