My first dog was an Aussie and I STILL get real tears when I think about her. Such a smart and loving breed.

RIP Lola ❤️

Luna likes shallow creeks and the first few feet of the beach. She cant feel light to medium rain through her fur, but hates heavy rain. Swimming? Fuck right off.

Here I am wanting to get my dog (on left) a companion, and he comes in the form of a 160lb Great Pyrenees. He's a awesome dog to be honest and in my book a keeper.

My brother and his family got 2 of these dogs and apparently,  with 2 kids, is a handful.  He's done a lot for me, so I dont mind.

It's great seeing my dog happy like this.

Did you name him Chris Farley?

Ha! I do want a new name for him, "Smuggler " in south Texas is a no go. He responds to Buster, so that might have to do.

I wanted to name him Ricky Williams,  but he doesn't respond.

Buster or Buba, he responds to both.

Got a text from our neighbor. I remember seeing the car but kind of forgot about it. Street View caught Trixie and I visiting Willow. Screenshot_20250620-1436082.thumb.png.833d44eb7a855b0513c6c301184a0324.png

145 lb Dane. So sweet and docile. They leave her with an e-collar on and access to the doggy door. I get a kick out of seeing people cross the street when she's out. She likes me more than she likes Trixie. Annoying little puppy keeps jumping on me but old guy just rubs my belly and gives me treats type energy.

Every Dane I’ve ever known has been a complete lamb. Such gentle giants.

Trying to take over for Scooby of the Christian and Scooby duo, no doubt. Google it. Apologies, I'm an NBA junkie with league pass.

Look at this vicious monster trying to attack my 12 year old. PXL_20250627_223519944.thumb.jpg.2b82425494cbcd9fc413a69115bd4ff5.jpgPXL_20250627_223336422.thumb.jpg.ba414cbbc89d5240f5aba51659230635.jpgPXL_20250625_010754896_MP.thumb.jpg.04802d05b81903a40252ab4e30128d10.jpg

Went camping this weekend on the McKenzie river in Oregon.
Willow is truly an adventure dog. Though she was shocked by the frigid water temperature when she jumped in.

Wasn’t sure if I should put this in the flooding resources thread but was hoping more people might see it here:

“Dangerous floodwaters in Georgetown prompted an emergency evacuation of dogs and cats from the city’s animal shelter on Saturday. All shelter animals were moved to the Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter.

The evacuation prompted the regional shelter put out an urgent plea for help from the public for foster volunteers.“

Wife doesn't want me to get another dog, so I signed up to foster and got our first one today.  She flew up from Hereford in a Cessna with a bunch of cats.

Your dog doesn't look too thrilled with the new resident.  Who did you foster through where they fly them to you?
