Space Saving, High-Adjustable TV Stand for Dresser/Tabletop

Featured Replies

I have an 8-year-old 40" Philips HD TV that still works great but I want to move it into my guestroom. TV looks like this:

The base looks like it's around 20" wide. I don't want to wall mount this damn thing but just set it on some dresser drawers. BUT - I want enough height clearance so I can put stuff up to 1 foot or so on the dresser without blocking the screen. I've looked at monitor risers (where I'd just use the factory stand), universal adjustable stands, and all kinds of stuff but can't get good info on height clearance. The tabletop stand/bases seem to low and the floor models seem way too high.

Ideally, I would want to use a 2-leg type base/mount to save as much dresser space as possible. But I haven't seen any versions that raise the TV up that high.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

Something like this could work. Maybe a bit higher.

I would just wall mount it.  Wall mounts are pretty cheap on amazon.  You might get into some stability issues if you attach to your dresser and it's risen 1'
