The upside to losing the studio is all the shows are roadtrips now.

I never liked the GT studio as much as I did on Top Gear. Something just always seemed off.

After looking for episode 2 and not finding it, I did some googling. Turns out that the new format also means it’s only 2 specials per year, released whenever amazon feels like it. And the guys are spending the rest of their time on solo projects.

It’s more interesting when they do things like buy 5000 pound jaguars and road trip/torture test them.

they've probably done all those as well.

Hmm, 2 eps per year sucks. But If I were Clarkson, Hammond or May at this point in their careers that's about all I could be bothered to do and it would be for lots and lots of money. Honestly, I was hoping for 4.

New episode in roughly two weeks.  Clarkson and Andy Wilman did a YouTube TV stream.

I'll take what I can get.

I typed that too fast.

There will be a new episode in a couple of weeks.

Clarkson and Wilbon held a live stream tonight to update fans and answer some questions.

If you’re up for a pretty good tribute, check out Cartrek on YouTube. My neighbor and two others did a budget exotic limited series.

The behind the scenes is out so hopefully amazon will release the episode soon.  The others have dropped on Thursday evenings so fingers crossed.

We finally have a release date.  December 18.

So we get one episode a year now? :(

Take what you can get and be thankful. There is another option.

BTW, May has a new food series out on Amazon.

To pass the time, the DRIVETRIBE Youtube channel has some entertaining - though random - Clarkson/May/Hammond content.

Google it; tried to embed and couldn't because apparently I'm a fucking idiot.

Christmas came a couple days early.

Looks like I'll be watching after the Texas BB game tonight.

A Massive Hunt

MFB FTW

Great episode, classic Clarkson/Hammond/May with the exception that the budget for the modified cars is a bit higher.....

My evening is now planned.  BA80D35C-4556-4954-B749-534F335F9365.thumb.png.cdaed6f07198354a2dceb0466be3f05a.png

Thank you! My day is complete!

That bridge was pretty cool.

I was entertained; very well done. More than a few legit LOLs, and I probably missed a few of the cultural jabs made at Scotland.

And there was a moment of homage to @THUJONE as well...

Surly is absolutely the target audience...

Clarkson laying down laughing on the bridge as Hammond goes in the water and the boat gets swallowed up.

I know they’re all doing there own thing now but we need a couple of the specials a year. The chemistry is to good not to.

Capt Slow looks like shit. Time has not been kind.

Late to the party but loved the Lochdown. I liked GT when it first came out - need to catch up on the newer seasons.

UTC time much? Bezos runs on International time bitches!!! Actually I have no idea. Just a conjecture. As any programmer nerd knows, Time (and particularly Timezones) is the hardest thing in computers.

This one was great, as they all are. The offroading was amazing.

Tit face. [emoji23]
Ball Bag, Coq Hole, Anus Jus. Don't think my wife noticed any of these as I was laughing like the immature moron I am.

That's just wear and tear.

It's patina!

Tink, a fleck of paint flys off. Tink, another fleck of paint flys off...

Watching right now. Holy shit the French cars are some of the worst things I've ever seen. Like the Simpsons episode where Homer bankrupts his brother by designing a car.

Also - Clarkson looks terrible for 61. Kind of worried he might kick it soon. He pretty clearly drinks way too much.

Smoking and booze will do that to you. I think he quit smoking (maybe?).

I think it’s been a pretty fun 61 years though, so wear and tear is to be expected. He treats his body like the French treat their cars.

He’s rich, does what he wants, and has a good looking younger woman.

The airplane car killed me. Hammond’s French accent had me rolling too. “One of a number of things has inevitably happened, now you must STOP!”

I’ve probably mentioned it before but my neighbor had a successful car YouTube channel and he and two other car YouTubers have a series that is an homage to Top Gear. Pretty entertaining for a bunch of amateurs.

I’m sure he’d appreciate you checking it out.

Thoroughly enjoyed it. French cars are true pieces of shit, including the two I owned but couldn’t get enough of .
