In fact, my grandpa used to eat french fry sandwiches...seriously, just a mess of fries between 2 pieces of white bread. He also did the same with pinto beans. I did french fry sandwiches at school all the time. We'd get unlimited white bread and butter sandwiches with school lunch. They were great for sopping up gravy and mashed potatoes, soup, or making the aforementioned french fry sandwich.

Same here (taught to me by my mom, not yours, of course). She liked standard potato chips on a sandwich, but over the years I've found that Doritos, Fritos, and other styles can work, too.

Flamin' Hot Cheetos, Funyuns, Takis, Dill Pickle chips, Lime chips, Jalapeno chips, etc. are all fantastic on a delicious sandwich.

I thought in Iowa they just filled a trough with corn slop and you had to elbow your way in.

February 19, 20196 yr 1. Bone-in Cowboy Ribeye from Star Canyon in Dallas back in the 90s. I swear that dish had a halo hovering over it when brought to the table. 2. Damn near every dish at La Choza in Santa Fe. 3. Sweet corn from Chino’s Farms in Rancho Santa Fe, CA.

May 2, 20196 yr Not crack but in the spirit of chips on sandwiches: bread of choice generous amount of pimento cheese sliced jalapenos as many fritos as you can stuff in/on top smash it together, eat with 8 fingers and both thumbs to keep the fritos in. voila: pimento cheese jalapeno frito sandwich.
May 2, 20196 yr Chorizo, potato & egg tacos from Jesse's in Bryan. Quite literally the only food experience I will miss in this town, because otherwise, it's a food desert.
October 10, 20241 yr So much for Rosuvastatin. On the upside, I can make a grimy-ass Luther Burger. Quote Krispy Kreme® announced a promotion today to celebrate the anticipated arrival of its doughnuts at participating Chicagoland McDonald’s restaurants beginning Tuesday, Oct. 15 as part of a phased rollout to McDonald’s locations nationwide by the end of 2026.
