Liar. I tried crying in the corner, and it didn't work for shit

Shh! is probably Brown, but wouldn't it be gruntling if it was Bru?

Yeah, I would be gruntled.

Depends on who you ask.

Just in case you haven't seen him before. Those who hype him up compare him to Jamaal Charles. Well, he is fast, but he's not that fast.  Good jump cut, great north-south decisiveness. Can sometimes be ankle tackled a little easier than you'd like, but he's no Kyle Porter, that's for sure. I call him good, but there's a reason he's not mentioned with Sanders or Cain.

Five-Star ATH Bru McCoy raves about visit to Texas

Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei athlete Bru McCoy took his first official visit of the year over the weekend to see the Texas Longhorns.

McCoy took an unofficial visit over the summer to Texas and raved about his time in Austin. The Longhorns immediately jumped up his list of favorites and the two-way standout visited officially over the weekend.

“The visit in the summer was great but this one was ever better for me,” McCoy said. “The biggest thing was I was able to experience the game atmosphere and that was really special. I’ve never been to a game outside of California before and to see 103,000 screaming fans was incredible and definitely something different for me.

“It was an electric atmosphere the whole game. USC got off to a strong start in the 1st quarter but the crowd was still in to it and then when Texas took over, it was really loud. They have a very talented team for sure. You can tell they’re still building but they have a lot of talent. They have had really good recruiting classes and you can see they’re going to be very good soon.”

SoCal native Cameron Rising was McCoy’s host and he said all the players were good with him.

“They all really welcomed me with open arms,” McCoy said. “I had a great time with the players on the team and the recruits there too. It’s a great group of guys with different backgrounds and everyone was upfront and honest. They talked about what they liked and disliked, what it’s like for them there.

“I was with Trey Sanders the whole visit and he’s a great guy as well. We play each other this weekend so of course we talked about the game. He was probably my favorite recruit on the visit and it was good meeting him because we really didn’t get to see each other much at The Opening.”

The coaches made a positive impact on McCoy as well.

“I spent a lot of time with all the coaches but especially coach Mehringer, the WR coach,” McCoy said. “He’s my lead recruiter and a great guy. We spent a lot of time together talking about the offense and how I fit in. Todd Orlando (DC) showed me tape of the defense and then I saw it on the field. They like me as a pass rush specialist as well as a full time receiver and the scheme really fits me.

“Today we had breakfast at Tom Hermans’ house and that was a lot of fun as well. Just getting to know him better and being around the other players and coaches. We played some basketball and hung out and it was a great way to end the visit. I already liked Texas a lot and had high interest in them and this visit pushed them up even higher.”

Next weekend, McCoy will head to Washington for visit No. 2.

“I visited there my sophomore year but this will be my first game there,” McCoy said. “I really like coach Pete and coach Lubick a lot and have a lot of interest in Washington. The whole staff is great and I’ve heard the game day atmosphere is pretty special too so I’m excited.

“I don’t have any other dates locked in but I’m trying to set Alabama for the Auburn game. USC will get a visit as well and that last trip is still up in the air. With USC, my opinion on them doesn’t change because they lost, just like it wouldn’t have if Texas had lost. USC is young and I still see them as an up and coming team. I still like the offense and how they throw the ball so I still like them as much as ever.”

McCoy said if he gets all of his visits done early enough, he could commit sometime late in the season or wait until the All-American game on January 5th to make it public.

Daniels being his best friend, it'll be one tough pull.

Yeah. Not that it would’ve changed anything but probably should’ve had the official later in the year. Seems like he’s going to sc since all his friends are there

I hope Lakia Henry saw Gary Johnson dominate last night and can envision himself stepping into that spot next year and decides to flip from Tennessee.

JUCO DE Jacoby Jones commits to OU.  Going have to look deeper for a JUCO DL.  Maybe a grad transfer.

Wonder if Herman was able to convince admissions to make it easier for Grad Transfers to qualify here

We took their manhood. Lol. More attitudes like that please

Looks about 5'11 at best. Kid is still an absolute a beast though.

Sometimes, when I'm feeling sad and alone in the world, I watch Shipley's kickoff return against Oklahoma about 17 times in a row.  After each replay I feel that my mood has been elevated until, after the 17th viewing, my chi has been restored and there is once again karmic balance in the universe.
