Same. I quit eating ice cream when Adam’s quit making pecan pie. I’ll try this though.

HEB Deli Parmesan crisps are the bomb! I am exercising utmost restraint to keep from gobbling up the whole package this evening. They are a little pricey, but glad I purchased them.

Dude, if you're into those, you've got to try the menonite cheese:

When I was a kid, on the way back to the US from my grandparents' ranch, we'd stop at a Menonite colony and buy a bunch of fresh cheese.  It was kickass -- a mild, salty, creamy with a bit of a bite cheese.  This is damned close.  Makes great quesadillas.

Tried some of this today, and you do not lie.  It is very nice.  Thanks.

This was tasty without a doubt but it was seasoned more like a mild chili instead of guisada. Still would recommend.

This is 100% what I’ve been looking for. The resort I stayed at in Mexico for my honeymoon had cheese quesadillas on the breakfast buffet with a cheese just like this, and I’ve been trying to replicate it ever since. That stuff makes one hell of a cheese quesadilla on some corn torts.

Was at the new Heb at slaughter/Congress at lunch and saw an ice chest of tamales...inside the store. Next to the self checkouts on the bbq end of the store. Taking impulse buys to the next level H-E-B. Well-played.

Their Midtown frozen pizzas are quite strong

The crust was great, the rest of the pizza sucked donkey balls.

my official testing says that HCF crispy crowns are better than ore ida extra crispy tater tots.

HEB kosher salt box not as good as morton due to lack of actual pour spout.  doesn't matter so much if you're pouring out 1/2 cup at a time, but there's little precision with it.

Meh I just had the basic classic Italian and added fresh basil and it was great for frozen. Haven’t tried the more complex ones yet.

noticed that my HEB has some combo of new tamales in it - HCF, HEB branded and Mi Tienda...anyone try them or have any specific recs?

This tastes like elevated string cheese to me. Not a bad thing, just an observation.

This is my current late night combo a couple of times per week:

I get the stink eye from Mrs. CHIEF, so I always just stare straight at the ice cream carton.

Anyone ever try this? I love the patty melt, but what else could you use this with besides French fries?

HEB opened in Lubbock.

Never thought I would see the day where United would let that happen.

Albertsons bought United a couple of years ago. HEB and United had a turf agreement in Lubbock I suspect. When United sold out, then HEB decided to go to the mattresses with the now Albertsons "United." I went into the new HEB Sunday morning. Was a madhouse.

Update:

I fried up some pickles today and this was the perfect dipping sauce for them.

If you go to the larger HEBs with the pizza place in them during happy hour you can get a large pizza when you walk in and 2 free beers to drink while you shop and then pick up your pizza on the way out.

im not sure if it’s the same at all locations though.

https://www.heb.com/product-detail/h-e-b-chef-prepared-spinach-dip/298321

HEB makes all kinda of prepared dips that are absolutely delicious.  This spinach dip, chipotle salsa ranch, dill dip, etc.  Even online, it looks like this is now the only one available.  The others are packaged very similarly.  Very disappointed as the chipotle and dill dips slammed hard.  I looked in my store recently and the only one I could find is that spinach dip.  WTF man?
