Yes.  I'm buying it peeled so that I can store it in the freezer and know that it isn't some jarred crap soaked in olive oil nor is it a big bulb collection of mold.  I cook with garlic every time I cook.  This isn't difficult.

Today I don’t care if my HEB is open, short staffed, or if I can’t buy shit  they make because it’s out of stock.   They always come through when Texans are in need.

You might as well go ahead and get the jar of chopped garlic if you are going to but that.

Are you a Curandero?

Well. each to their own. I love garlic and usually double the amount the recipe calls for. Maybe that is why I always notice people backing away from me.🙂

No.  We do that for other reasons.

SIAP, I only went back a couple of pages. These chips are really damn good. The red chili can stain shit though so be careful. I think I paid 2.49.

HEB deli pepperoni slices, like 3-inch size stacked in clear plastic pack. Damn good, have become a regular snack food.

HEB pepperoni, pizza topping sized, in the soft pouch, not so much. Kinda taste like dog food or something. Pass and get the Hormel or whatever major brand. One of the few HEB made items that are not very good.

As someone who likes ice cream cones but doesn’t like the hassle, busting up a few of these in a bowl of ice cream is awesome.  They also make chocolate and coffee flavors.

It’s HEB…I presume those are also offered in a jalapeño version?

All of their kettle cooked potato chips are great. The jalapeño are the best jalapeño potato chip I’ve ever had.

Yes they are.  My preference is the Mesquite BBQ.

The H‑E‑B Hijole Takis knock off are pretty damn good. I like them better than Takis.

The Hatch Chile Willy vibrators come out in August I believe.

Thank you for this. We have been having a hell of time getting our daughter to eat anything. No matter how healthy or unhealthy, she just isn’t interested. She loves these slices. We will take any calories we can get at this point.

Awesome! The salami that's usually in the same cooler is really good, too, but according to the label it has considerably more fat, which was a little surprising to me. I like pepperoni better, anyway. Glad your daughter digs them! I just had some myself.

Tried the Jap (odd flavoring), hoping the BBQ brings the avg back to .500.

I tried quite a few different brands and varieties of Ranch dressing before I finally started just making it from Hidden Valley dry mix. But I keep a bottle of HEB Three Cheese Ranch handy for those occasions I don't want to mess with it. It's the best bottled option I have found.

For what it’s worth, these are my go-to taco shells and until yesterday they cost $.89. Now they’re $1.28.

I’ve taken back 3-4 of those HEB pizza topping size pepperoni slices because they were either molded on the inside or became moldy after a few days of purchasing them.  I’ll try your deli suggestion next time.

Their peppercorn ranch is what I usually keep around. Also, not HEB brand, but I buy it at HEB....

I like the fact that a lot of the HEB/HCF brand salad dressings aren't made with HFCS.

And no certified synthetic colors. I guess they only use un-certified synthetic colors.

They use Hill Country Fructose.

HEB has pretty good BBQ. Stopped by Texas True BQQ inside their store in Pleasanton and had lunch on the way to Leakey. . Sliced brisket on a bakery fresh bun. 4b7de0487b8d5721b5b114f96d6db8ed.jpg

I'm munching on some HEB Copper Kettle shaved parmesan cheese right now. it's pretty damn good.

Really enjoying being near a heb again. Couple days ago the wife picked up a pack of carne guisada.  I didn’t fuck up the cooking, and I had amazing tacos for two days.  She thought she was buying me some grilling meat, but I knew what I had.

ps the butter flavored fresh tortillas are more addictive than oxycodone.

Saw this at my local and very open HEB this morning. $9.99 a bag….

Briquets?

I actually like the Kroger brand of fresh tortillas better than HEB’s. But that’s about it.

H-E-B kettle cooked chips both hot sauce and hijole flavored are awesome.
