May 5, 20196 yr I got a couple of live oak trees from HEB recently. I'll have to get back to you in about 40 years to report how they are doing.I chortled
May 7, 20196 yr So not HEB brand, but I bought this queso at HEB over the weekend and it was pretty damn good. Throw in some seasoned ground beef and diced japs (peppers, not orientals).
May 7, 20196 yr It’s gotten to the point where I don’t think cowgirl is an appropriate word to see printed in public.
May 7, 20196 yr I am still upset about HEB discontinuing Adam’s Best Pecan Pie Ice Cream. To the point where I told them they are idiots for doing so. They politely told me they would pass my message along.

May 8, 20196 yr I’m pissed because my because the closest Heb to me stopped carrying the Central Market Saigon Cinnamon ice cream. I’d have to go to the Plus store 30 mins away to get my fix. BUT it looks like HEB is finally getting their crap together and starting to utility work on a new store that is less than 5 mins from me. It’s not going to be a Plus store, but it will have all the other stuff the Plus stores offer as far as food items which include all the Central Market stuff, Meals ready to go, expanded deli, meat counters, sushi, freshly made Italian style pizzas (which are badass btw), etc. Edited May 8, 20196 yr by Nueces River Rat

Really like the sundried tomato and basil pizza. The cheese is the large round slices that melts kind of in a glob, and the crust is way better than any of the other fresh pizza they make. A solid choice when I’m too lazy to make my own dough.
May 8, 20196 yr Author The HEB queso in the refrigerated cheese section is actually quite decent, both regular and queso blanco.

Nine minutes in the oven and done. Beats waiting for delivery or frozen pizza!
May 10, 20196 yr These are damn good and taste pretty close to Chick-fil-A, since there is some dill somewhere in there. I've tried the Sam's club nuggets that are similar and these are better.
May 11, 20196 yr Ours opened today. Wasn’t about to attempt to enter that madness. In other news Wal Mart two minutes down the road was the deadest I’ve ever seen it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

May 20, 20196 yr Bought the green salsa-in-a-bag since there's finally a relatively close location, pretty goddamn good. Will try the other varieties next time. Also grabbed the chicken strips & seasoned taco meat from the last couple pages.

May 21, 20196 yr We buy these when a vegetarian niece is coming to a family gathering. Tasty, even for an old carnivore like me. I think only available at Central Markets, however. Edited May 21, 20196 yr by abuelo gringo
May 21, 20196 yr Author HEB has the best birds of any grocery chain. Spotted a bunch of Western Kingbirds, a couple of scissortails, nighhawks and this mockingbird the other night, among others.
May 21, 20196 yr Someone on this thread recommended the breakfast flautas... They are fucking AWFUL. Do not buy. Edited May 21, 20196 yr by spystud13

May 21, 20196 yr If you buy variety bags of chips, get these. https://www.heb.com/product-detail/h-e-b-zesty-chips-variety-pack/1167919 Their versions of Lay’s SC&O/BBQ, Doritos Nacho Cheese/Cool Ranch, Cheetos/Puff Balls. Damn good.
May 22, 20196 yr Anyone else get irrationally pissed off at the spectrum sales reps who bark at you on your way in/out? Really grinds my gears. Probably the only poor brand decision I've ever seen them (HEB) make.

May 24, 20196 yr Author I used to get that Nighthawk dinner with an actual hunk of steak, not ground, and a potato triangle, and that butter based steak sauce that was pretty awesome. I never could figure out what was in it besides the butter.
