My nephews are heavily involved in the robotics competiton. Very cool program and activity. Their team made World's last time around.

My son's middle school does FIRST Tech and his HS does FRC.   They just advanced to regionals with a chance to go to worlds.  Once you figure out how it all works it can be pretty damn fun to watch and its nice to see the nerds get into it.   But holy shit if there is a competition that needs booze sales this would be it.

Am I the only one who read that as "FIST Tech Challenge" & thought "Hmmm... I assumed that was solved technology."

This is about robots?  I went to one of these things last year (college roommates kid and the comp was around the corner from my house) and was very disappointed.  I was expecting a fight to the death, and I got block stacking.  PC bullshit notwithstanding, can’t they just let them try to kill each other?  It would certainly make for a better spectator sport.

My 16 year old went to worlds in Lego League back in 6th and 7th grade. Still focused on engineering for college.
