Sorry not sure where to post this.. I was approached at my home to be a Nielsen Ratings Family... Has anybody every done this? If so was it worth it?

Not personally but my in laws did it for about 6 months and liked it at first but ended up hating it.

I am not sure if they have changed how it works or the set up of how they collect data but they did it 4 or 5 years ago.

Back then this was their experience from what I remember-

-Everytime you turned on the TV it would ask who was watching

-would ask if you were still there (like Netflix) but every 15 to 30 minutes

-was a pain in the ass to change channels or flip through channels to find something to watch

-just a lot of added work to watch a little TV

Like I said I am sure it has probably changed a lot with technology in the last few years but they got annoyed with it rather quickly.

Sounds pretty similar to what i was approached with.  Giving $100 gift cards and small monthly cash for it.
