So Chase Elliott ran out of gas celebrating yesterday.  A tow truck came and pushed him to victory lane.  Wouldn't it be simpler to put some gas in the car and drive it, or is this a post race inspection issue?

I would think an inspection issue. You don't want to contaminate the vehicle. Plus, tow truck drivers need airtime too.

he drove his ass off to win that race, nice job

Agree.   I'm a Chase fan and was on edge hoping he could hold off Truex.  He dominated that race.  It's crazy that the two races he's won are Talladega and the Glen.

So when is NASCAR gonna break out the tarps for their half empty racetracks?  Tonight would have been a good night.

Just think of how much more exciting it would have been if they could have picked up a piece of debris and restarted the race in 6 laps to end Stage 2.

Pretty annoyed that nobody wrecked Ryan Newman. I hate that guy.

nbc missed a restart.  god this channel fucking sucks

edit: might be the stream.  cuts to a different set of ads a second after the broadcast goes into ads.  i'm guessing the broadcast comes back properly and the stream comes back a second behind.  just damn near missed another.

Flipped over to NBCSN to see how the crowd at TMS looked. What crowd? The front stretch might be 30% full.

They were all at the F1 race in Austin.

I know it sounds silly, but that fall race is always on the opening weekend of deer season.  That's a big damn deal to the demographic.

Is the season over? Thought I saw a race at Homestead on the tv guide not long ago. That's still the last one, right? Who won the cup?

Yes the season is over. Kyle Busch won the championship.

OK, swell. Cue the Busch outrage? Honestly, I thought he was the best racer on the circuit 5+ years ago. It's been a Willie v Nashville story.

Huge Kyle Busch fan. He has the same drive to win every race like Dale Sr had. Heck of a talent behind the wheel.
