BEE CAVE, Texas (KXAN) — Bee Cave Bob seems to agree with Pennsylvania's Punxsutawney Phil's prediction.

He says spring is on its way quick this year, and in year's past he hasn't been wrong. Bob's prediction was also held on Armadillo Day, where events were held all day in celebration of the mammal.

The Lone Star Weatherological Society officiates Armadillo Day, which serves to forecast the coming of spring in Texas, in defiance of relying on the predictions of a groundhog in Pennsylvania.

Their extensive research concludes that the most reliable climatological data is derived from careful study of the armadillo.

But that's not all Bee Cave Bob can do. He also gives a political climate forecast.

True to his Texan nature, he predicted the legislature would tackle whether Texas should become an independent nation in this year's session.

It's not me.  This is him:

and this is me:

Although I guess when you look at it again, we could be mistaken for twins.
