It’s not classless....hell we all laughed last year when the OU lineman got called out for his miserable combine performance. LJ made a mistake in leaving, and his 1st job interview didn’t go well. Fa

he returned the signing bonus IIRC and I don't see anything wrong with avoiding contact, in fact, it's good for the team to avoid injury to the team star. Franco Harris used to run OOB all the time, made the HOF and won 4 Superbowls.

He cost them the #10 overall pick my promising them he’d come play and then backing out. That’s worth more to the A’s than him returning the money.

The A’s trusted his word and he burned them.

Charles O will probably be better in the league than at Texas. smh.

not always, not when he first started.

You’re way off base here. He was always a long-term developmental project that would have his best days in the NFL. There’s nothing wrong with that and it has nothing to do with his work ethic. He worked his ass off while here.

Is Mack the fattest person at the combine?

It seems like those guys have their hands in pretty narrow for having such long arms.  I wonder if that's a requirement for testing on bench, or that's just what they prefer

Less strain on the shoulder when you keep it narrow. While you ideally would want to work more muscles in training, hitting a high number of reps for the combine would mean you would want to push as efficiently as possible.

#NFLCombine key measurements thread…

258. #Texas LB Gary Johnson
Height: 5-11 7/8
Weight: 226
Hand: 10 2/8
Arm: 31 2/8
Wingspan: 76

Hand measurement and offspring production seem to be correlated data points.

He had an NFL physique, it was merely a question of whether he would put in the work and develop.

Seriously. WTF are you about at this point? You started off with your smh at him playing his best football in the NFL (which most guys do) and now you’re talking about whether he’s a lock.

the conversation changed too.  Anyway, he was never a lock, developed into a viable NFL player, wasn't really that great in college IMO which is the smh. Easy.

Some guys are obvious NFL material from the moment they step on campus, he wasn't.

Not that familiar, what do folks think about the new S&C guy (Bennie Wylie?) at BlowU.... he was at Texas & Tech before right??  BlowU might see some regression in S&C....

He was a developmental prospect that, if he worked hard, would still only do his best as he grew into his body in his early twenties. Nahlin phrased it in an optimistic way. What about this is tough for you?

And he was the Big XII DL of the Year, he was pretty solid.

Among DL. This guy beats him overall.

Holy shit. Holyfield just lost himself a lot of money. He could almost get tracked downy by Leon O’Neal. Almost.

Big 12 DL of the year = “not really that great in college.”

Sure, makes sense.

I think G Johnson goes a lot higher.

Johnson's going to need a blazing fast 40 with his measurables to get drafted.
