I decided it would be a fun exercise to make homemade mcribs and McDonald's style fries at home. Wish me luck pics to come.

That doesn’t sound like exercise to me.

I assume for this you need some pork shoulder, a blender, and a mcrib patty form.

Sounds delicious!

You’ll need some of that meat glue to bind chopped pork into the McRib form so it holds its shape.

Pick some of this up while you’re at it....

Kudos for slow smoking them to perfection just like I assume McDonalds does.

Fail. Unlike a McRib, that is actual meat.

Marlboros are an odd choice for smoking ribs, but you do you.

Yeah there doesn’t appear to be the correct amount of sawdust and horse meat in your patties. And where are the fries? I see an empty plate?

This is horrible...this camera work.

This. I think there are steps left out. I see raw meat made into McRib like patties. I see a deep fryer, then an empty plate.

I'm going back to the shank thread and wait for something proper

What is that shit all over your ribs?   Sugar?  Mayonnaise?  Whatever it is, it's ruining them

I like how he posted the same pictures twice. And still no fries.,,

Did you just catch a rerun of BBQ Pitmasters, Season 1?

Apparently, immamac thought "McRib" meant a drunk Scotsman's first attempt at cooking ribs with only "Flavortown's Guide to Xtreme Barbeque Grillin' with Donkey Sauce by Guy Fieri" as a guide.

Immamac is Johnny Trigg?

They were awesome. I'll remember to not invite anyone to the next mcrib party. Sorry it was messy and weird. It was cold as fuck outside (34), I was super stoned and hammered drunk by noon.

I started at 620AM and served at 1PM it was worth the effort.

Yes I deboned them (and got the cartilage) so every bite was just easy bite through ribs.

The other patties I made from the rib trimmings that I also deboned. The patty ones are not as good, but still really solid. They cook much shorter and prep time for those is much more "worth it". My phone also died as I started serving ribs so I didn't get many money shots, but friends did.

I thought I ventured into a Phlem post, but nope, those pics are there on purpose

I’m more perplexed by how an adult male has his phone die in 2019. Shit’s pretty easy to solve.
