April 26, 20205 yr If the quarentine is what it took to get Harmon and Roiland to sit down and actually produce new episodes, then this will all be worth it.

April 26, 20205 yr It’s not. These were in the can but split up from the last batch by CC, I believe. This I think the 3 seasons they got were like 10-12 each season, then this one got split up into a fall half and spring half...
April 26, 20205 yr How collaborative is the animation process? Obviously live action actors can’t work right now, but writers can. Can animators knock out new episodes at home?
April 26, 20205 yr Seems like the voice over stuff cold be handled with distancing. Especially since Roiland does the main 2
April 28, 20205 yr Is this and other cartoons still hand drawn, or computer in the style of hand drawn?
April 28, 20205 yr Nothing is "hand drawn" anymore. The original character might be, but that's scanned into a computer and away we go.

Mostly digital, but there’s still some holdouts here and there. Little article about how it was still being hand-drawn in South Korea (farmed our from the US), but even they were transitioning to digital. https://www.theatlantic.com/entertainment/archive/2016/05/a-new-age-of-animation/483342/

May 4, 20205 yr First ep back was good. I almost died laughing at the Bechdel test, but it faded from there.

It's a little more complicated than that. First they take the hand drawn character and they smooth it out with a bunch of schleem. The schleem is then...repurposed for later episodes. They take the dingle bop and they push it through the grumbo, where the fleeb is rubbed against it. It's important that the fleeb is rubbed, because the fleeb has all the fleeb juice. Then, a schlami shows up, and he rubs it...and spits on it. They cut the fleeb. There's several hizzards in the way. The blamfs rub against the chumbles, and the...plubis, and grumbo are shaved away. That leaves you with...a regular old episode.
May 4, 20205 yr There were a couple of good jokes in that one, but I definitely needed to be under the influence of something to enjoy it more. That one was a trip. The Wendy's commercial at the beginning was pretty great.
May 4, 20205 yr How were they referring to the various characters with the ripped abs that they called $#@ cutters? I don't watch the uncensored version (too lazy to do anything but DVR...) so can someone who streams it fill me in?

So ripped, the cum runs down one’s Apollo’s belt (the V) like water running down gutters I’ve never heard that outside of gay vernacular though.
May 4, 20205 yr Ahh, I see. All I could think of was "cunt cutters" like they're so ripped that they're abrasive to women who might grind on the abs of steel or something, but that didn't seem to make too much sense...

May 5, 20205 yr I liked the heist episode this season. But yeah, so far I haven't rewatched episodes in season 4 like I did the previous seasons.
May 5, 20205 yr It's like they read on the Internet that R&M was a clever show so now they're going out of their way to try and be extra clever....and it doesn't work. I'm not ready to say it's all down hill from here (yet), but there a guy in a black jacket and water skis warming up.
May 5, 20205 yr Author Also, wtf happened to the rest of the family? And what happened to storylines involving their actual home/school/city/earth?
May 5, 20205 yr I loved it, but I always enjoy anything which questions the meaning of reality. I'm a huge Philip K Dick fan, and this was definitely something that would be in his wheelhouse. Edited May 5, 20205 yr by MissingInAction

We re-watched episode 5 right before the new one dropped on Sunday, and the whole Snake world thing was fucking hilarious. "STAY IN THE FUCKING CAR MORTY!!!" S4 Episode 1 - The one with all the parallel universes was fantastic. Top notch R&M that was. Rick's personal Toilet episode was good. The dating app sub-plot was pretty funny. Heist episode was probably the best of the season so far. "YOUR BOOS MEAN NOTHING TO ME, I'VE SEEN WHAT MAKES YOU CHEER!" can't remember what the other one was off the top of my head, but 4 out of 5 ain't bad. I would rewatch all of those any day.

May 8, 20205 yr Nothing wrong with that group of 5. This last one insisted upon itself, and I just couldn’t get into it.

I feel horrible for saying this, but I doubt we will see anything during the rest of however long the series continues, that will be as funny as the snake episode.

Wasn't a big fan of it at the time, but I haven't rewatched it yet. I have seen the other 4 at least 3 times each, they are excellent.
May 8, 20205 yr Aside: I watched the first couple of eps of the new roiland show on Hulu (they put them all up at once it looks like) and it felt like a rick and morty knock-off. The two main characters, at least one voiced by roiland so he can’t help but sound like rick, plus nuclear family side stories.

May 11, 20205 yr Another shitty fucking episode. Over a two year break and they come up with this shit? These are episodes you'd expect to see in a season 6 or 7 after they've already run out of ideas, but nope here they are.

A little too hard in the last episode. I actually liked the train episode but it was pretty obvious it was meant to be a total mindfuck so much so that I get why it was not liked by many.
