Nope. But the Texas Visor I have worn for 20+ years did not protect the back of my neck from skin cancer.  So this UT Bill Murray hat should help a little there...

Fair enough. I just had my first biopsy yesterday.

I had basal cell, and Mohs surgery. Sort of a shocking size hole, but healed up nicely despite my tearing open the stitches. But in all honestly this hat has a smaller circumference but is much lighter weight than what I have now.  I now actually forgo sunscreen and instead wear lightweight columbia hoodies with neck gators so that about all you see is my sunglasses.  I spend all day fishing the surf sometimes and no amount of sunscreen can survive dawn to dusk in the surf.  And while it took a little getting used to I am sold on the sun protection.  So you may start looking at this UT gear...spacer.png

Almost more of a PSA- Got this UT Columbia fast dry hat for $22 at the Round Rock Columbia outlet store. I thought I was paying $35 so that was nice.

My official lawn mowing hat. Can confirm it works well.

What's a halfway decent office casual shirt material for wearing out in 110 degree Texas sun?

Looking for some $40-$60 shirts with at least one of them being Longhorns-related office casual.

Generally speaking, 100% Polyester doesn't totally suck.  I like the Under Armour Tech shirts for cheap wear.

how does it fit?  i tried another texas guayabera on and it fit like a box.

I don't have any experience with that particular guayabera, but I believe guayaberas are meant to fit loose and boxy, right? They are designed that way because they are worn in hot, humid climates where you want ventilation.

I only have one guayabera, but I wear it open, with a colored t-shirt underneath that matches the color of the embroidery.  Looks spiffy.

Correct. Their golf shirts fit much better.

GREAT shirts. I have bought a bunch for sales guys and throw the company logo on them. With cotton after they shrink, logo looks like trash within 3-4 washings. You can crank the water up to hot and all is well.

They seem to run about .25 to half a size bigger than some Nike ones I have in rotation.

I actually liked the more burnt orange one a little more but didn’t find it.

Got lucky and found this one in person to cover the bases. At first I didn’t like it through the online pics, but in person it’s a little better.

Longhorn and fish aren’t as obvious. So it looks more like burnt orange camo. One big plus, the huge Columbia PFG logo isn’t noticeable on the sleeve. Camo look is growing on me in person. For $50 and keeping me from being miserable after a few days? yeah I’m down.

I have probably a dozen of those type. Some I’ll probably never fully get the shad scales out.

I got a couple 40 Acres polos at the Co-op last year. I like the feel and fit. They are a bit more expensive though. Like in the $80-$110 range. Sue Patrick has them on sale sometimes.

Anyone know if this design is also in shirt form?

I  think they look sharp.

Which means most will think they're dad shoes.

Correct

Do they just keep making the sole look bigger on purpose?

Late to the party(as usual), but I've had a pair of those gray sweats since 1996.

I'm sure it's already in this thread, but criquet knocked this shit out of the park. IMG_0232.thumb.jpeg.958393f9b053a704f2000a9d0ebe83ea.jpeg

Since they can pick a naming convention that makes sense to an outsider, how do I find that shirt?

Must be Karma or some chit. I bought a black UT hat back in 2001. The black on the outside had faded almost to a light gray after many years of use. The other day was on a boat in Galveston Bay when a sudden gust of wind gave said hat, a watery grave before I could retrieve it. Consequently, guess what I shall now be looking for? I am sure I do not want a hat with the SEC Logo on it though, just to piss off a gomer or two.

I don't think they are selling the one with the helmet on it right now.  There are a few on eBay if you search l Texas longhorn criquet nwt, but the exact same shirt without the helmet is here:

Seems like a problem with Nike sneakers across the board.  I was in Dick's (#nohomo) a while ago looking for some basic Nike cross-trainers to wear in the gym, and it was hard to find a pair that didn't look like they were close to platform shoes.

Nike? Lol.  Nike has been the most resistant to the thick sole trend. Many are blaming their declining sales on not keeping up with the 'HOKA' trend every other shoe company is abusing these days.  This pegasus  has been able to use zoom air and ReactX to be more comparable to thicker shoes like New Balance Fuel Cell or Asics Novablast.

I'm probably going to grab one of the Poncho outdoors burnt orange short sleeves. I see they have an "Original" and a "Western" version. Has anyone tried both and if so which do you prefer?

This year....

The main thing I want to start off with is an SEC Champions shirt in Burnt Orange!

Then you can guess what I want next! 😉
