I have these but they're so uncomfortable.  I 've worn em maybe a half dozen times.

Postseason games are routinely chilly. aggy games. Basketball games. Some early baseball games.

I am 100% purchasing these.

Why do so many of our shoes look like something a nurse would wear, or an 80 year old with peripheral neuropathy?  Damn those are ugly.

Really wish it didn't have the giant logo on the back to make it look like you're joining a Texas biker gang but maybe I'm too nitpicky

I have the burnt orange Homefield bomber jacket - it is pretty sweet IMO. Didn't get to use it for football last year except for maybe one postseason game, but it was usable for some of hoops season.

I haven’t seen a shoe posted in the past 5 years of this thread that looked good. All the best shoes were from back in the day

Lol ACC country doesn’t have ‘real winters’ before mid-November, which is when on-campus tailgating ends…

I wore a long sleeve t shirt in AA. You should have drank more.

North Carolina and Virginia are plenty chilly enough for a bomber jacket for October night games (not to mention Cuse and BC)

Why the fuck is someone sharing a shitty, $600 golf jacket on a UT apparel thread?

Not sure but those shirts are terrible.

Looks like something my dad wore in the 70’s.

That jacket is way worse.

I don’t hate them. But I don’t really like them either. Maybe if they didn’t have the Nike swoosh on them

Thoughts in general on the Nike line of shirts and clothing for Texas? Getting better, worse, the same? Also highlight whether you are old, young, or middle aged.

Nike just seems to bring the UO wacked-out aesthetic to half or more of everything they do these days.  One might call it urban or street wear.  Old.

Also, I note that a lot of their "OG" type models seem to be very poorly executed in bad synthetics.  I've seen some dunk-type shoes in stores and on kids feet that just look like vinyl dogshit.

Nike is solid, they always have the basics covered, and they don't do stupid shit at nearly the rate Adidas does.

Nike needs to stop using so much black.  It is not a school color, and with few exceptions, it ruins any gear for me, especially when it is heavily featured.

Apparel is good, shoes are bad. Middle ageish

I kind of like those shoes, and would get a pair, but they just don't look that comfortable. And having just turned 50, I prize comfort over looks these days. (In shoes, you bastards!)

Jesus christ ill spell it out for yall:

1) Nike always a solid choice. Cant really go wrong most of the time

2) Quit buying off brand burnt orange shit. Look for brands that are based in Texas (Texas Standard, Poncho, etc). Also, buy from brands that use officially licensed shit. Rhoback, Raised by Coyotes, Johnnie O, Burlebo all have the wicking polos that help in the heat, for example

3) For shoes, buy nike. The hey dudes and other shit posted on here is wack as fuck. Slip ons? Lol really?

4) Im going to get flak for this but 47 brand hats are mid AF. Made for the 45-65 demo. Go with hats like what Howler Bros just released, or Nike, 59, hell, even Branded Bills. Huckberry has a script Texas hat right now that looks pretty tight

Disagree, respectively.

This is my gameday hat this year

The Howler bros stuff is sold out, but you're right, it's great. The white shirt is pretty perfect.

Just going to help everyone out here, by informing folks that at the ripe old age of 25, Texifornia qualifies as a "young."

Add 10 haha

Its kinda ludicrous that UT is the most valuable collegiate brand in the world (measured in merchandise sales), which it rightfully protects through licensing, and yet ….buy 100 pieces of gear and it comes out in 100 different shades of orange.

Shitty ass enforcement imo.

TSRH. I'll also add that they don't cater to the big folk. I can't get any shirts/polos unless it's at the fire sale or some random site.  Fat people need gear, too, goddammit!

Really appreciate the feedback on Nike apparel. One final question. Nike re: Texas shirts, like polos, puts the Nike logo on the right breast and the Texas logo on the left breast. Not all shirts but most. Do you like that?
