Chocolate needs to be separate category from the starburst/skittles/etc.

also I’d say a separate gummy category as well

Some oldies, but goodies:

Zagnut bar

Chick-o-Stick

I'm a sucker for toasted coconut and peanut butter.

For those uninformed - they now make coffee nut M&M's and they are delicious.

Starburst & Skittles (try the Sweet Heat) are my top 2, but Caramel M&Ms are pretty damn good too if you kids haven’t sampled.

Reese's peanutbutter cups and twix have been my 1a 1b for a good while. Followed by kit Kat and milky way, then snickers.

I dont give a fuck what they serve in europe

Spree rules all

Hershey's Special Dark

Jelly Belly

Jolly Rancher

Werther's

I'm deathly allergic to nuts, so most chocolate products are out, because of cross-contamination.  I do love dark chocolate, though -- interesting factoid, the Hershey's Special Dark 6 ct  (1.45 oz per bar) is completely nut free, as they're produced in a factory that never ships in nuts of any kind.  They don't even have an allergen warning on the package.  I like those.

I've had one cavity in my life but just thinking about spree and sweetarts makes my teeth hurt.  But damn if I didn't eat a million of them growing up.

That's odd.  Spree is a good choice.  Haven't seen them in forever though.  Forced to make do with Sweetarts.

My HEB has Spree (when it's open).

Question for the nut lovers (NTTIAWWT):  I thought Snickers was the American go-to candy bar of choice?  Has Reese's taken over?

What is this sorcery you speak of? Dark choco Reese's?

Dark chocolate M&M's are my favorite main-stream candy. I usually end my night with a few bites of dark chocolate -- been buying the three-pack bundles from Trader Joe's (the brown wrapper is the best so far).

In no particular order

Snickers

Almond Joy

Almond Roca

Millionaires

Skor or Heath

All time favorite is the chocolate and almond bits coated toffee from Wiseman's House in Hico.

The candy aisle at HEB (when open) has dark chocolate miniatures in reasonably sized bags. Most grocery stores, Target, etc. have them.

Usually one row up or down...

if you see a dark chocolate variety of one brand that sometimes means there are more.  It usually goes HERSHEYS Special dark, Reeces dark PB and then the less frequent Dark choc kit Kats.  Beyond that and you're not in just any  quick pick any more, and the prices will all be $.50 higher on average, and they'll be selling bottles of OK wine probably.

Never had a Zagnut. Am I missing out?

Never even heard of a Chick-o-stik. Is that a chicken-flavored candy? Cause that sounds disgusting.
