February 22, 20196 yr My conversation with the Walgreens checkout guy a few days ago, after he scans TP, Advil, toothpaste: "What are these?" Lifts up one of four boxes of Bit o'Honeys (4x$1) "Oh, those are some real old school candies my wife likes." (This is a lie. I also like them.) "Oh.....You're Hispanic aren't you?" A couple of those with a cup of coffee? Yes, please.
February 23, 20196 yr Big fan of Andes creme de menthes. Little, green foil wrapped, bits of pepperminty chocolate, wafers... Fucking crack-o-licious !! No Christmas morning stocking was complete without a box. Edited February 23, 20196 yr by Onboard 2.0

March 20, 20196 yr These are excellent. Available at most grocery storesRIESEN was Germany's very first candy brand. RIESEN fans all over the world still love the intense, chocolatey taste. The secret lies in the rich caramel filling, which is enrobed by a thick layer of dark chocolate.

March 31, 20196 yr Anyone thrown out Raisinettes ? The dark chocolate kind of course, or is everyone a-skeered of raisins in candy ? Raisinettes, dark or milk chocolate, are my go-to movie candy. Wife thinks she married an old dude because of this. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk This. Heddy Lamarr mentions these near the end of Blazing Saddles. The Rasinett company sent Mel Brooks a case of them every year for like forever because of the product mention in the movie. They may still. Seeing all of these old candy brands from my childhood and did a search to see if they still make them. Apparently Candy Warehouse has them all. Even still have the candy/gum cigarettes for aspiring young smokers. Who knew? Linky linky? 1. Peco Pie 2. Praline from El Matt in Austin. Fuck that tiny ball of sherbert. 3. Ritter Sport. Any of em EXCEPT with rasins. 4. Wintogreen Lifesavers 5. Malted milk balls. Homemade? Alexanderites. Technically a lace cookie but really candy. Recipe from Mary of Puddin Hill Cookbook. It is my aunt's recipe. Use a silpat or silicone coated parchment paper instead of wax paper and put a teaspoon of batter down instead of a tablespoon. Despite what the recipe says wax paper always sticks. And the baked cookies are hydrophillic so keep em in a sealed tin or lock n lock. Put em in a regular cookie jar ya gonna have a sticky mess if you got any humidity at all.

March 31, 20196 yr Reese's has a new egg, this time egg shaped in a foil wrapper like a Cadbury egg. Not as good as the old flat one - it's heavy on the chocolate. Not real good out of the freezer because the thick chocolate gets hard to bite through. Might be the worst Reese's chocolate and PB item.

March 31, 20196 yr Yep, I haven’t had a Skor in years, but them bitches were always awesome. No clue how Mars screwed up these M&M’s so badly.

May 14, 20196 yr M&M’s have a shit-ton of varieties now, but these are pretty damn good. Basically like Krackel or Nestle Crunch.
May 14, 20196 yr 1. Cherry Airheads 2. Jelly Belly's 3. Whatchamacallit or Take Five 4. Sweet Heat Starburst (or any Starburst, really, except for those ugly stepchild tropical sets) 5.
