Shit, I'll just smash up some maca pills and add that during secondary or kegging on the next batch. We'll see.

Marzen doesn’t move the needle for me.

Because all those brutally overhopped IPAs fried your taste buds.

For the rest of us, it's delicious. :)

Went to PP yesterday and got the newly released Burro's Especial, a Vienna-style lager, and it was delicious.

I just don’t get them. I don’t know if they’re too malty or too sweet but they just seem cloying to me.

More for you guys to enjoy.

And I love Oktoberfest. Just don’t like the beer associated with it.

Just got back from a work trip in Vermont. I had heard Heady Topper was an amazing double IPA. G'dam, it might be one of the best beers i've ever had.

Any of you assholes tried it? Pretty hard to find outside of NE I hear.

Yeah,

enjoyed a couple pints of it at Prohibition Pig in waterbury (The Alchemist was closed for a few months at the time). That’s a great bar if you’re ever in the area.

What's the deal with Alstadt brewery?  I liked them on Facebook per a sponsored ad, and they re building a literal fucking castle.  Who is financing that?  They certainly don't need that much space for a brewery, tap room and restaurant, right?  What will the rest of the square footage be?  Their beers better be pretty fucking good to justify such a massive expenditure.

Scripps family. They certainly don't looked destined to make profit over there. Its a cringey operation. They may bank on weddings tho.

I will be in the Woodlands & Conroe area this weekend for a soccer tournament.  I'm familiar with Souther Star's repertoire.  Which other local breweries should I check out.  Bonus points if there's food options too.  Thanks!

Yeah those pics I saw were crazy. A damn small german town replica or something. Does seem like they are aiming to be an events place.

I guess I’m the only person here forced into a family meal or a company HH where the draft options were shiner or macro.

Edit: any beer options at all regardless of vessel

Now that's an opinion I've never heard. I definitely don't agree, but folks should drink what they like.

I don't know the Alpine / Green Flash situation right now, but I can confirm that "Alpine from Alpine" tastes just like Alpine from Alpine.

Going to Austin tomorrow. I need to try one of these places.

Try them both. They’re about a mile apart.

Yep, and very different beer selection.
